Disqualifies the player if they don't move a certain distance from the starting area of the arena when the fight begins to prevent cheese tactics and encourage actual combat.

Permissions and credits
The Problem: The arena fights are actually fairly challenging, the problem is how simple they are to cheese. Even with mediocre sneak, you can get multiple free sneak attacks off by just standing in the entry hallway, ending most matches before they even start. The enemies also can't detect the player in the hallway, resulting in them running out to the middle of the arena, and then standing still while being picked off by sneak attacks like a sitting duck. If that's not enough, there's even a safe spot in the hallway the player can jump to with very minimal acrobatics skill, allowing them to pick off opponents with ranged attacks and having no threat of death or failure whatsoever.

The Solution: The solution is small and lightweight, but the impact on how the arena actually plays is quite big. This mod checks how far the player is from the Bloodworks door when a fight begins. If they aren't about halfway past the grate or ever retreat across it during the fight, they are disqualified (See image for the exact line that cannot be crossed). Additionally, when combat begins the enemy combatants have their sneak raised to 100 (most have a default sneak of ~15), making them far more able to detect and continue pursuit of the player. It's an arena after all, where the hell else is their opponent supposed to come from? This ensures that each match plays out like an actual arena fight, with both combatants duking it out in the circle for honor and glory and in full view for the spectator's amusement.

Compatibility
Probably not compatible with mods that allow you to remove the raiment and equip any armor. Should be compatible with most other mods editing the arena.

Installation
Extract the esp to steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data. In the same directory, add the name of the esp to the Plugins.txt file and save your changes. The next time you launch the game, the mod should be installed.

Notes:
  • If the player is disqualified in this manner, the announcer and Owyn will still use dialogue as if the player removed their raiment. There isn't a way to bypass this currently as adding new dialogue or voice lines to the game isn't possible.

Planned
  • Figure out a way to detect if the player is holding a drawn bow when the fight begins and disqualify them, so the player can't instantly release a sneak attack the moment the gate falls.
