This is pretty snazzy looking, gonna give it a look ingame. Is there also going to be a Shivering Isles?
Edit: It's very pretty. I really like the way it looks overall and the smaller towns/villages are nice. I don't like the big shield replacements for the larger towns though. Even though IC has the cityscape still, that giant shield feels a bit too 'in your face'. Maybe another city version for the larger ones, with small shields where the gate doors are?
+1 The big shields are a little much, would prefer more like how the imperial city was done. Other than that this map is beautiful, the maps author went hard on this.
+1 I really wish the artist used the style of the imperial city for all of the towns, maybe put the embled over the castles or something? I think the huge emblems look a little strange, although I could see the vision if you were to hang this map on your wall or something, the emblems would look cool then.
if you want changes to this map or new maps created, request a commission, I left links to Caro's sites on desc page. artists need to survive somehow and fulfilling all the little wishes in comments won't help with that.
Well like they said in the description, the map itself is by the artist Caro Tuts and they already provided a few links to their socials. You can see the full map, and the Elsweyr one, pretty clearly on Caro's Redbubble.
holy how do we ask for commissions from caro? because i need the shivering isles and all the other maps in this style too. absolutely amazing, thank you
Please make it possible for SI also, and maybe adding the roads like "A more complete world map" does. would be very helpful to have the big raods at least if not medium ones also. TYVM.
This map looks amazing, I seriously love how detailed it looks and it is much more unique compared to the other maps. There are only two critiques I have: please add labels for roads/rivers/bodies of water that the original map has. Some quests mention specific locations that you need to read the map for, and I know I could just google but it would be nice to be able to read the map, although I know figuring out how to make the labels visible could be hard, so I understand if that is a limitation. Second, and this is more of a personal preference that doesn't have utility, but it would be cool if there was a version that showed rough drawings of the city similar to how the original map has them sketched. I personally don't really like the emblems being on the map because they get covered by markers and also don't represent the bounds of the city, and I think having the sketches of the city similar to the capital would just look nicer.
Caro's texture was scaled and calibrated to precisely match original roads and terrain features. I'm doing it regularly for FWMF so I believe I know a thing or two how to get the best possible accuracy. of course you still might find minor misalignments here an there, because: 1) its a drawn map, not topographic, artist sometimes needs to move objects to make it look good, 2) original bethesda map isn't especially accurate on tis own. but overall for a hand-drawn map its very accurate.

Please, support map's author, she is crazy talented and did tremendous amount of work mapping TES worlds.

It would also be nice if you could add all the roads and names like this mod did : https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/1464
