Hi, There is something weird with the mod. Count of Leyawiin needs 60 disposition to sell me the house. With the mod I persuade him to 59 and the game tells me it's the max. No problem, I guess I'll quest for the dude and he'll like me more... But he didn't so I was stuck, boohoo. I've tried to see if it's the mod, removed it, and the game has shown 44 disposition and I could try again. Weird but awesome :). Made the counter jump to 71 without the mod and bought the house (the max after which I could not persuade him any longer is somewhere in the high fifties). Put the mod back on, the game now shows 61 disposition. Removed it again, vanilla game shows 71. Dunno why, but Ziegler's "weird, weird" comes to mind :)
On second thought, this behaviour may allow one to get unstuck. Play with the mod and if you get above the threshold then fine, if not and keep on playing without knowing that there was a threshold, just remove the mod and you'll get another chance, just like I got myself unstuck with the count above.
In the beginning when i made this mod, i called it "Easier" and then later changed it to "Fixed" for that reason. It is "Easier" in some aspects but with others, it's still a bit of a challenge. In your specific situation, you need higher speechcraft.
Youre still limited to your actual ability to silver tongue your way into peoples hearts If that makes sense. :)

You'll also need to add the mod file name to Plugins.txt (within that same directory) to enable it, or use a mod manager to do it.
If you don't have a mod manager for Oblivion Remastered, I recommend jorkXL's Oblivion Remastered Mod Manager ( https://github.com/iamjakeirl/oblivionModEditor/releases/ ).
EDIT: Changed URL to not direct to v1.5 of the mod manager.
Very cool idea for a mod, I've disliked this minigame since 2006. It's not that it's difficult, it's just unnecessary and throws off the flow of the game, IMO.
Anyway, I had this and the Lumen Begone + Ultimate Engine Tweaks mod installed, and had to remove this one as it was keeping me from selecting the option to bribe people. Not sure what happened there or if it's a conflict, but it works fine again on removal of this. Anyone else have this happen? I'd really like to use this mod, lol.
I have always just skipped the mini game and bribed them, sure it takes a little bit of gold, but let's face it after the first couple of hours you have way more than you need anyway. The mini game was always terrible and has never gotten better and just doesn't compare to just giving them money.
I also cant wrap my head around this "minigame" either. It just doesn't *click* for me. i don't understand why i cant exit the minigame after i made the obvious 2 best choices that the npc will like on my first try (with the most bars in it); making number go up a lot equals good. Instead it forces me to make 2 more choices which are the wrong options that are only left, the npc doesn't like, negatively affecting the persuasion making the gained points go down every time. So i just bribe. -_-
You're supposed to choose the good options when there are more bars in that quadrant, and the bad options when there are fewer bars. It's a little (easy) puzzle, not just a "click good to win."
What I learned eventually back in the OG was that you really only want to prioritize the higher positive and negative reactions because the lesser ones don't really change the disposition that much to worry about especially since you have unlimited tries.
It's not a minigame of picking just the good options, it's a game of trying to maximize the good picks (most bars) and minimize the bad picks (fewest possible bars).
You're always going to win some and lose some on each round (you will have to pick all 4 quadrants in some order), once you reconcile yourself to that, you get that it's a question of minimizing (fewest possible bars of bad/meh that round) and maximizing (most possible bars of good/decent) at the same time.
Each iteration, you must make all four choices. Two of the choices add points and two subtract points.
However, because each choice rotates the points, purposely making an early bad choice for a low negative score will rotate the points into a spot where you can make a good choice for the maximum possible positive score. In this way you eventually hit the convince number for that NPC, because you are consistently choosing low negatives and high positives. It usually takes about 4 iterations or so.
For those confused. Essentially the way it was changed is now, there isn't any major negatives when playing the mini-game. This mod is excellent for those not interested in playing minigames within a game, such as myself. I have zero interest in lockpicking mini games OR persuasion mini-games.
Thank you Ozen! I have been looking for something like this for a while now.
This. I understand how the minigame works, it's just not fun. I only do it to level speechcraft because frankly I can get them to 100 with a custom Charm spell.
