as of 5.11.25 I "think" your version 10 deluxe edition plugins file is the same as standard edition. Its missing altardeluxe.esp and MoreDamage_CustomCombatOverhaul_Rebalancing_DeluxeAddOn.esp.
Maybe I am wrong, but that seems to be the case when i copy and pasted it into my vortex and updated my plugin (i can't get vortex to automatically get the load order correct.)
Whoops, you are right! Thanks for flagging it, I've fixed it now.
Vortex load order sorting is very strange. I've set every single mod with the correct dependency, and the collection editing interface shows everything right, but still some people get the wrong order. I think it only works with a fresh install and gets messed up as soon as you install something else or upgrade.
I bet you are right about the plugins.txt working only on clean install. I have a small 12 mod custom list that i am converting to the Echos collection(already has most of the mods i was using), and your list installed (which I plan to use on my next playthrough). Any time i switch collection for testing, etc, the plugins.txt is messed up and all I can do is manually fix it.
That's normal. The new JSON file includes all ESPs, including the Deluxe Edition files.
Vortex may give a validation error when importing the JSON because you don't have that file installed, but that's fine, it will still import the rest of the load order correctly.
Hey there, great work with this modlist !! Loving it !
2 questions :
-1/ from the n2.2 changelog i can see : Merged skill leveling speed and carry weight mods that previously required a separate download. Now UE4SS and OBSE Custom Game Settings files contain these changes.
Should we remove some mods then from the previous version ?
-2/ More Damage mod just got a big update, is the modlist compatible with that new version ?
Hey, thanks! Are you doing a manual installation with the spreadsheet? By now the modlist and the modding scene have grown enough that I would very strongly recommend using a mod manager. I've been putting most of my effort into making the collection on Vortex work, so it's fully automated and up to date now, but I still need to update the spreadsheet to match the latest version of the Vortex collection which has already removed the redundant mods.
I'm investigating the latest version of More Damage (there is no changelog yet and the page is offline, but I have the files to manually review). I'm not sure if I recommend updating to the latest version yet. First, it contains some mistakes (some weapons deal several thousand damage, clearly a mistake that I'm sure will be fixed in later updates). Second, the latest version started making changes that should fall outside the scope of a difficulty rebalance (such as lowering carry weight) that will introduce incompatibilities. I'll further into it before deciding.
Happy to help! Definitely give the Vortex installation a try. I'm pleasantly surprised by how well the automated install worked, especially because it includes my custom edits, so you don't have edit downloaded mods manually.
Hi, I have used the mod collection and tried to install it with Vortex. I have problem with conflict between: "UE4SS for Oblivion remastered - UE4SS (v0.0.7)" and "UE4SS_v3.0.1-394-g437a8ff.zip (v3.0.1-394)" Whatever I try (running it before or after one another or not together at all), I get Unreal Engine Crash on game startup. Do you have any idea what to do to fix this?
This is a bug with Vortex, it keeps trying to redownload UE4SS_v3.0.1-394-g437a8ff.
What I did was to disable UE4SS_v3.0.1-394-g437a8ff (which is a generic version Vortex automatically downloads even if you didn't want to), and have only UE4SS for Oblivion remastered - UE4SS (v0.0.7) (which is part of this modlist) installed.
Sorry for my late response. I had some stuff to do. Thank you for the help. I have done this, but still, I get an error from the Unreal Engine even after resolving this issue. When I load or try to create a new game, my game freezes or just gives me a UE crash report.
The only other thing I can recommend is to run the game once without OBSE so UE4SS can set up properly. Otherwise if that doesn't work, take a look at the UE4SS mod page, there are some instructions in the comments. Your issue seems specifically about UE4SS, maybe they can troubleshoot it better.
Disabling OBSE didn't work as well. Buuuut! I have tried to disable all other mods, just enabling UE4SS to let it configure as you suggested. And it worked, then I reenabled all other mods in the list, and it seems to be working! Thank you so much for the help.
thx for mod pack, rly nice to have a good starting point. gave me the final push i needed to try the game out again. im not sure i have the ue4ss setting inis in the correct place as changing the values dont seem to work in game, currently i have a - Win64/gamesettings/block ini and UE4SS custom game settings ini - changing the value for mag regen to something else doesnt change when magick starts to regen for me. does the game settings folder need to go inside the ue4ss folder like the obse one has to go into the OBSE/plugins/gamesettings one? ive tried setting mag regen delay to something absurd anywhere from 9 to 50 and i can still count 2 seconds until it starts regen, so i dont think im even getting your base changes of 1.33 for mag regen. thx
I double checked it and both NewFormulaMagickaReturnLinearMult and MagickaRegenDelay work on my end.
Are you using the Steam version, have the latest versions of both UE4SS and UE4SS Game Settings Loader installed (to make sure, it is different than Game Settings Loader)? The correct folder for this INI file is: \steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\GameSettings
yea, been spending last little while rereading both those pages, both are latest or they havent updated since i dl them when going thru this mods guide page. i have succesfully used the obse gamesettings and even added and tested my own ini (chaging hp damage when out of breath underwater, and it worked) the MagickaRegenDelay = inside your UE4SS Custom Game Settings ini will not change no matter what number i put in and im confused. i can always count to 2 (base game number) before i see the blue bar increasing both in and out of combat. i must have missed something i just cant find where yet. i would prefer to use your custom game settings since u balanced them with the rest of the mods alrdy. thx for reply and any future help is appreciated
edit: im on steam yes using the win64 folder instead of gamepass one
ok, ill try, just reinstalled the ue4ss loader and no change, i do have other mods beyond ur mods listed but each time i install one i go in game and ensure it works before playing further. will report back, ty for help
ok, no change, since i dont have any other gmst ini other than yours i made one with the magregen line only and deleted yours for the test, i even started a new char to test as well as tested on current character, i can always count to 2 and just when im about to count 3 mag starts regen which is vanilla (same happens with stamina). i must have some other mod outside this pack that is affecting these gamesettings idk what it could be though as none are gmst ini files and things like wonger shilder on back , hud clock etc. i only have your game settings inis for the ue4ss side and 1 additional ini on obse side that has 1 GMST in it for when breath runs out hp damage , and it works. so idk why im not getting your ini tweaks as i think /hope everything else is working
no change, updated ue4ss, tried taking out reshade dll file and tried no mag regen delay mod as the only ini inside gmst folder. didnt work. rechecked file paths etc. kinda at a loss
no i tried te magregen one and still regens on count of 2 instead of immedaitly. been seeing some comments on UE4SS Game Settings Loader page have simnilar problems with gmst not loading correctly, trying to read thru them now
found post on page 3 of UE4SS Game Settings Loader about a fix from Increased Encumbrance Scaling fising settings not loading. tried but still 2 sec count for mag regen when set to 10. so i must have something else somewhere messing with it. although it may be that the ues gmst loader is finicky and thats why im seeing others have issues as well with game settings not loading. cna i make ur changes in the tesedit program? i looked thru the gmae settings of OBL master file but couldnt find the ones for regen, only amount of regen mult. i can make edits there into a new patch if needed. thx for ur help
found a solution at least for the mag and stam regen delay, adding lines to the altar ini makes it work with whatever number i put there. maybe i can find the correct naming lines for the other ini settings in your file and put those there
Im doing a fresh install now my only thought is i had a left over mod that was messing with things. But yeah the first time after downloading and testing the rats adept was 2 hits expert and master the bar barely moved. Will update after a full fresh install to make sure.
You can try the automated installation via Vortex to make it easier by the way. I've been waiting for stable MO2 support for Oblivion Remastered, but Vortex works well with this list as well.
I'm downloaded and followed instructions exactly. Everything is working great except I used the forge at battlehorn castle to boost my armorer skill above 75 so I could repair my equipment to 125%, and now it always stays at 125%. It had not degraded at all in days, weapons or armor. Any suggestions would be a great help.
Great list by the way. It certainly is much improved over vanilla oblivion remaster!
I haven't encountered this myself, but maybe try updating Configurable Item Degredation - or try running without that mod to see if anything has changed. I can't think of any other mod that could cause this.
Thank you. For some reason it was set to 0. Thought I had set it to the recommended 0.4. I have one other issue, the difficulty on master seems to easy. What is the recommended difficulty damage multiplier in the difficulty ini?
Should Steeds of Speed.esp go after Ascenion Lite - Createures.esp AND MoreDamage if I'm not using the deluxe? Currently I have it behind Ascension Lite
Should MoreDamage_CustomCombatOverhaul_Patch_BalancedUnleveledRewards.esp go directly behind Balanced Unleveled Rewards.esp, or should it also go behind MoreDamage_CustomCombatOverhaul_Rebalancing.esp?
Here's a list of my load order, in case I'm being an obtuse dummy:
1. Yes! Steeds of Speed should come after those mods, otherwise its changes will be overriden. 2. Also yes. As a rule of thumb, patches that patch two mods should come after them.
Check out the new sticky I added; I shared my exact load order you can copy paste.

Oblivion Recalibrated - Vortex Collection
EDIT: It got fixed somehow, maybe something was happening on the side of Nexus?
Maybe I am wrong, but that seems to be the case when i copy and pasted it into my vortex and updated my plugin (i can't get vortex to automatically get the load order correct.)

Yeah I am using the spreadsheet since i am really not a big fan of vortex, but might use it for this collection then.

I just tested it with a level 1 character, using the steel shortsword you receive in the tutorial:
I would recommend Expert or Master if you want more challenge, Adept is more lethal compared to vanilla but still a bit too easy for my taste.
Great list by the way. It certainly is much improved over vanilla oblivion remaster!
