Me mods are stacked like dominos and I can't afford to remove this one due to multiple dependencies BUT it also isn't working with the latest upate. Will be putting my Hero of Kvatch cap up on the hook until this (among few others) get updated. No rush though; I chose the fate of a fully modded game and I know that it comes with these moments of update lag lol. Tis part of the experience.
i wouldn't say that this mod is required, just an optional dependency. With it being an OBSE .dll mod, it's fairly safe to just uninstall it & keep playing
I can't think of a mod that has this as a hard dependency unless it didn't add it's items to a container. In which case, yes, having this would be easier, but if you load the mod in xEdit, find the Form ID for the item, and write down that ID; you should be good to use that to add the item. Just remember that the first two digits in the form ID correspond to where the mod is in your load order. So, you'll need to account for that. Or you can wait. All my stuff got messed up when my computer updated to Win11 last night. I forgot to disable the auto-update. So, I'm also just waiting at this point. No reason to be in a rush.
I wouldn't be completely sure of that. Depending on deployment method. I am seeing a lot of improvement since initial releases. Folder structures etc. Magic Loader basically says you should install it manually along with a few other mods. Especially OBSE. Having said that Vortex has a few updated recently that may also be improving issues as well. As and OG modder and OG gamer Morrowind Oblivion OG nehrim, you name it. Script plugins as well as ENBs etc for the most part definitely work better through manual installation. Having said that as time goes on things seem to be improving.
I personally had issues with Vortex putting things in odd places before the update, so I did so manually, and it worked perfectly (also previous experience Morrowind/OG oblivion, Nehrim etc) it's better to do these manually anyway. If anything, just for experience. Granted now both the game and vortex have been updated. So, on that side of things, it may work via vortex perfectly now.
I agree I think this is one of the few OBSE mods left to update to work properly. :)
