If your problem is the actual Reshade install process: The exe you have to locate during Reshade's install for Oblivion's Gamepass version is called "gamelaunchhelper.exe". It's in the first content folder within "The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered" folder.
Don't bother using the games HDR, it seems to cause issues with frame generation (at least for DLSS). I've had issues with edges of screen tearing w/ graphical issues using the native HDR in-game. RenoDX resolves this entirely, just disable UE HDR before using RenoDX.
I found this tweak improved it a good deal: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2124490/discussions/0/4638238419731881905/?l=thai
Or basically add this to the [SystemSettings] section in engine.ini:
r.Streamline.TagUIColorAlpha=0
There are still some issues I personally haven't seen with other UE5 games and/or DLSS 4 frame gen (I upgraded all the DLSS DLLs. As well as using DLSS tweaks to force "HDR mode", auto exposure, and preset K). So as you said, perhaps other methods of activating HDR are preferable.

Personally I'd recommend using Special K for HDR instead of the native one.
