For a first mod you deserve congratulations. It’s great to see you haven’t been tempted to go overboard on the interior which, in my opinion anyway, is a bane of some house mods. It’s not easy to keep the reins on yourself when creating things in the CS - especially when learning - adding this and that to the point whereby the trimmings end up detracting from the whole.
The fist-class advice from Tefle Huden and lhammonds can only benefit you. Well done indeed for a first mod.
This looks good for a modest...shack. You should place it closer to the roads so it's easier to get to. Unless you are going for the middle of nowhere feel which is nice. I agree, the exterior could use some work, but from the screen shots, the interior looks good. Keep it up. Maybe next you could make a house with the evil, sadistic, Mythic Dawn master in mind (I could use a new house). ">
I do alot of home mods, and details are important to the crowds out here.
1. Exterior should be unique, show somthing that is different on it. There is no need to add in new texture files, use what is there and make it creative.
2. Gardens should have life & diversity to them. If they are in one simple area, try changing the terrian on it. Remember, if grass is a problem in game, then try going with a different terrain type.
3. Interior should match the description of what people expect from the title of the home. There are alot of mods out there to show this type of thing.
4. Somthing unique, add somthing that is of your own creation, a signiture to all of your mods, so people can find them and know it is you.
Thats all I have, lhammods points people in great directions and has great mods, so his suggestions are wise. I will download the mod, and play with it some, always nice to have new things in the Oblivion world. Keep it up, but dont take the critism as negitive, we are (or most of us are) here to help keep the mod community alive and healthy.
just a quick question, are the chests etc set to not respawn, so that the players doesn't lose their stuff? Otherwise looks great and neat and tidy for a first mod ">
