Excellent work. These are perfect for lighting up places underwater.

I have a bad feeling that this might be abit dangerous if I mark a dangerous respawn point or something that they might be gone when the cell resets. would this be a problem?

edit: still gona DL and try it, i'll test it out then get put something about it here in the coments unless theres a forum thread about it or something.

Thanks for explaining, baihbalm <img class="> I like the idea of placing a green beacon at dungeons I haven't explored yet.

You can place the lights on or near buildings to give a cool effect at night. Particularly like on the walkways on top of castle walls. Then go outside the castle at night from a little ways off and see how it glows from the parapets. And adjust the brightness to one of the 4 settings for subltle or brazen glow. And you can put a few lights at the base of castle walls to cast a glow on them. Or spice up the interior of an Ayleid ruin. Especially ones with water pools around the stonework.

After you place the lights (beacons) for a soft glow effect above you may notice that looking directly at the beacon is too bright even at the low setting. The glow is subtle but the beacon itself is too bright and may spoil the soft night glow of whatever structure you are illuminating. No problem. You can cover up the beacons and still have the complete glow emanate from them. Just place a shirt or plate on top of the beacon. It will hide the beacon itself but not affect the casting of light at all. Not sure why it works but it does. The shirt or plate may appear somewhat out of place but it's the best way I've come up with to resolve it when you want only the glow to appear from the beacons.

You can spend a whole day adjusting the locations and intensity of the beacons when illuminating a castle or other structure or thing. I may release a savegame of it after I get permission.

the Beacons show up in your inventory, you may drop them wherever you want in the gameworld, they do not show up on your map. you can create notes with the quill as well if you forgot if you've been there.

What i do is just drop red beacons if i've explored the dungeon/cave/ect. and green ones if I haven't, its very useful later on in the game, just to make sure you're not back tracking, or forgetting somthing.

    Neat mod <img class=">
Do the beacons show up on the map? Or do you have to remember where you dropped them?
    Just need to be sure...

Thanks for finding this mod and resurrecting it from a dead link.

The one thing that immediately caught my attension to fix was the NIF Texture paths that had forward slashes instead of backslashes. It will still work as is but not if it's ever packaged inside a BSA archive.

If you wouldn't mind following this tutorial and correcting the NIF files and reuploading, that would be great.
