Okay, I think I may have over-modded, or broken something, and I don't really blame the mod for this, but after using this mod I can't create a new game anymore. I don't know what I did, but I need help because even if I reinstall the game (cleaned of all mods) it still won't work. When I try to create a new game and it asks yes or no, whenever I click yes it does nothing if unmodded and crashes if it is modded (I tried other mods to see if it was just this one). So has anybody seen something like this before?

I have and am currently searching for a fix myself. For me, it happened after Better Cities. If I find a solution I'll post it.

Please do excuse my English, I'm being dumb today for some reason~
...Hello! I'm really loving your mod so far but I've encountered a problem (not that it can't be fixed through use of console commands, but it's somewhat frustrating)
Whenever I proceed to enter Cyrodiil, I'm forced into the confirmation menu that you usually see upon interacting with that sewer grate door at the end of the vanilla tutorial dungeon. And when I click that last option that reads like "confirm and proceed", all my character's stats including his skills are suddenly reset to their racial normal, as if the active effects added by the selected background details aren't working.
The same happens if I choose my character's birthsign and class using the appropriate commands before the apparition approaches me. I get the 'perks', and then their actual effect is gone once I click "yes, exit the dungeon", though they can still be seen in the last, rightmost panel in the Spells tab.
As far as I see, the only way to fix it for a user is to remember what skills and attributes are affected by their choices in the dialogue, and then use 'getav' or 'setav' (warning to fellow players who share the same problem: 'advskill' will make your protagonist level up! ) Or maybe one could use 'coc <location>', but that also means they're going to miss the main quest.
Oh and I'm also confused about the DLC's quest activation, I don't get the quest starting messages either. Is there any way to begin those without downloading yet another plugin?..
    Thanks in advance!

Why does this mod have so few endorsements even though it has been downloaded twice as much as for example Alternate Beginnings? Is there something wrong with this mod, or weren't endorsements a thing in 2008?

To all those having issues with the Official DLC starting, I used SM Plugin Refurbished and the DLC's started. If anyone would like to try that, it should work.

i love this mod XP but it would be cool if you would have added a special video
you know after you choose where to arive you get a cutscene showing somebody in a jail (true his or her eyes) then seeing the vailen dread, then the blades, (all blurry and dreamy) then seeing the emperor and his voice echoing what he said all this time
then the assassins and fighting random, seeing the cave with rats and goblins and the zombie, then the emperor saying to you close shut the gates to oblivion right beffor he gets stabed and you see the assassin cut you and you wake up in the place you chose to be,
after that you should get a quest update that the guy from the blades left you a message in your pocket saying he brought you there after you were badly wounded,
and that he wanted to bring the amulet of kings to jaufry imself but it seemed to be magicly bound to you so he left this task up to you to bring the amulet like the emperor requested,
(just to give the story some more shape)

I had a few ideas you could possibly implement. Most of these are to accomidate players playing Immortal races (IE, Daedra or Angels or whatnot. One could argue that this isn't very lore friendly.)

    1st question:
(RACE): "I'm an Immortal Being. I don't have a childhood."

    RESPONSE:
(if you are any of the default races): "You look quite normal to me."
(If you are anything else): "Hmmmm.... You certainly aren't from Tamriel, I can say that much. While I cannot tell weither you are telling the truth or not, but I'm Obligiated to belive you anyway. Though if this is the case, this does present quite the conundrum. I can't very well ask you then what your teenage years or childhood were like, now can I? Hmmm.... Very well, I shall ask you a different set of questions. But first... please confirm, are you indeed an otherworldly, non-mortal being?"

(Chance to take this path back or go on to reaksed questions 1)

REASKED Question 1: "What pantheon did you last serve before coming to cyrodill? If you served the divines please tell me which one you most clostly associated with?"

Akatosh - "You are a servant of the Aedric God of time.

    Dibella

    Arkay

    Julianos

    Zenithar

    Kynareth

    Talos

    Mara

    Stendarr

    Sithis

    Azura

    Boethiah

    Clavicus Vile

    Hermaeus Mora

    Hircine

    Malacath

    Merhunes Dagon

    Meridia

    Molag Bal

    Nameria

    Nocturnal

    Peryite

    Sanguine

    Sheogorath

    Jyggalag

    Vaermina

Reasked Question 2: "And are you still loyal twoards this pantheon, or not?

"Yes" (bonuses applied. Those serving the nine divines have a fame bonus, but are not well liked by daedra worshipers. Inversely those serving the daedric gods are infamous, but are more in favor with daedra worshipers, in particular those with that particular god. For dialogue purposes the Mind assumes you were sent to Tamriel by that certain god to accomplish a goal.)

"No" "So your path is now your own. Is this correct?"

Question 2.2 And for what reason did you break ranks with (god name?)

(Various reasons fitting to that god. IE Moglag ball: "I didn't want to rape people anymore" or one of the divines: "I took a life" or Sithis: "I refused to take a life")

(Bonuses and penalties are applied based on this question. If you fell out of favor with the daedric gods (in particularly the more harmful ones) for good reasons for example, you gain a bit more fame, but gain infamy with that daedric cult.)

Lovely idea, I like to experiment with many different character types and naturally I don't like having to do the tutorial for the one hundredth time.
