Wrye Bash refers to this mod. It's a very powerful modding tool and there is extensive documentation on how to use it. But if all you want is to apply the No Lights Flicker tweak, here a simple way to do it:
1. Download and run Wrye Bash 2. Create a New Bashed Patch (Click on "File" menu or Ctrl + Shift + N) 3. Right click on the new "Bashed Patch, 0.esp", then select "Rebuild Patch..." 4. Click on "Deselect All" to make sure you don't use unintended features (though there are many useful tweaks and features, see the documentation if interested) 4. Select "Tweak Assorted" on the left menu, then check "No Light Flicker" on the right menu, like this 5. Click on "Build Patch", then simply use your new bashed patch ESP in your mod list. Usually Bashed Patches are last in the load order
Hi, can you make the opposite of this mod? Can you make a mod where everything flickers MORE? I really love the effect when candles flicker in HDR, so I was wondering if you could make that happen? Thanks!!!
Not sure if the The Fighters Stronghold has any lights added, just got back into playing the game again. I know Wyre Bash added this mod to his tool for ease of use, but regardless I may update this mod to include additional support later on. Will check out the new plugin as I just have purchased it, prety sure it will have added lights but maybe not *shrug*
Borrowed my wifes card for now, didn't fel like witing "> lease lemme know if there are any issues. Everything should be good to go and in working order including if you merge the plugin support files together with other mods.
I will be updating NLF soon, I was made aware of a problem when trying to merge the plugins with other mods that brings up an error. I bought the disc version of the mods when it was made avail and currently use the Download version of all but 2 of them, I will have to buy the other 2 download versions as it seems they are indeed different from the disc copy.
Not sure why, anyhow, soon as I am able buy the download versions of the 2 I need I will update. (waiting on a new CC to get here from my bank) not sure how long it wil take, it is supposed to be sent in the next few days.
Using this with all official plugins and 1.2.0416 non-SI, GeForce 6600 non-GT (really need to upgrade!), no issues.
I was really surprised at the difference this makes...I used to get horrible FPS drops/stuttering near Daedric shrines, candles, torches etc. This isn't a magic fix, but in conjunction with other performance-oriented mods, it helps quite a bit. There certainly seemed to be an immediate and noticeable smoothness for me in those aforementioned situations. Lighting does seem somewhat different, but without more rigorous testing I'm not prepared to make adamant claims about it. This just helps my low-end machine run the game better without being disturbingly noticeable. Thanks!
