Leahzero: This sounds like a problem with your load order. Try moving this to load last. Since I've taken a long break from Oblivion, I can't recall exactly which mod it was that I've seen problems with, but I know that I've seen your problem before, and it's due to a very minor conflict that can (in my experience) by resolved very easily by moving mine to load after whatever else you have that happens to touch either the Skeleton Key or the related spell (it may not be obvious which is the offending mod, as this can happen both purposefully, by someone changing some aspect of the key or it's associated spell, or non-purposefully, by someone accidentally reloading the old skeleton key thus making it part of their own mod (and overwriting mine).
Clicking to activate/deactive is not working for me. Dropping the key on the floor and then picking it up just adds the activated version, too.
Patch 1.2.0416, already had the key before installing this mod, using lots of other mods but nothing that should interfere with this item that I know of.
Heh - I was just about to make my own mod that did the same thing as this; but I thought I should check first to see if someone else had already done it - and here it is. :-) This looks better than what I had in mind, actually: I hadn't thought of being able to toggle the skill bonus on and off.
