My game is in french because I am french but it shouldn't be a problem as it only changes the face and the race of "Player" (Bendu Olo) in the construction set. (If you're scared, just remove the file once you're done with the character creation)*

To make an NPC's face playable you have to :
1) Open the Construction set
2) Find the NPC you're looking for
3) Double click on it
4) Go to Face Advanced (not Face yet)
5) Copy 
5,5) Don't close the window to make things easier
6) Then you have to find "Player" under Editor ID (or Bendu Olo under Name)
7) Change Bendu Olo's race if necessary (if the NPC you're copying the face from is a wood elf, you have to make Bendu Olo a wood elf)
8) Go to Face Advanced and Paste
8,5) Don't close the window to make things easier
9) Go to Face and copy paste manually the Hair Color, Hair lenght, Complexion and Age from the NPC to Bendu Olo.
10) Do not forget to change the Hair and the Eyes from the NPC to your character, you can find the two at the bottom of the small window that appeared when you double clicked on the NPC or Bendu Olo.
11) Save as TheNPCName 
12 and final) You can open your game and activiate one file at a time, new game and voila normally your character will immediatly have the correct face !

*Once you have created your character don't accept yet. Because once you disable my mod your character's haircut will revert to default. To disable that phenomenon follow that fix :
Change the haircut and get it back so it doesn't revert once you disable the mod. After that, you should copy the hair color of the character with the screenshots.


(I saved my files as AA-NPCName because AA will be the first files you'll find when you open the game files and it should be easier to find when you have a thousand mods)

Why do I do that in 2023 ?


I love Oblivion so much. Certainly my favourite Elder Scrolls entry of all time. When I watched my big brother playing it, I was stunned by the characters (my clearest memory is Baurus talking to us at the end of the tutorial). I first played it one year later at 8 years old (in 2007) and I fell in love with it.
In the game, you encounter memorable characters. I was looking forward to make some of them playable but I never managed to find a way to do it myself… until today.

There is a bunch of NPCs that I love, they're not especially good looking but I don't know I just like their face. I'm sure there are people in the same case, so I decided to make them playable.
I can do whoever you want, just ask and I'll do it. NPCs in the game are not infinite so there will be an ending one day.

1.0 - Make the faces of Arnora, Biene Amelion, Caenlin (not Baelin), Caroline, Blue Team Gladiator, Joofy the Brown (Shivering), Merandil, Raynil Dralas, Captain Renault**, Rufio, Selene and Desideratus (Shivering) playable.

1.1 - Even more faces of Aldos Othran, Antoinetta Marie, Apostle Kaz (Shivering), Armand Christophe, Emperor Assassin (high elf that kills the emperor), Baenlin, Fafnir, Isleif, Jakben (not vampire), Jauffre**, Mathieu Bellamont, Newheim, Salomon Geonette and Senannala the Bosmer Thief who isn't a bosmer and has a name.

1.2 - Playable Baurus**. I just couldn't resist.

1.3 - Added Caldana Monrius, Glenroy, Havilstein Hoar-Blood, Menien Goneld, Pale Lady (not vampire), Dyus and Ulrich Leland.

2.0 - Reunited Men and Women faces in two distinct folders and renamed the files "AA-NameoftheNPC" or "AAshiv-NameoftheNPC" + Added the faces of Arielle Jurard, Eyja, Faustina Cartia, Olava the Fair, Signy Home-Wrecker** and Skjorta.

2.1 - More faces of Aenvir, Dion, Dranas Lerano, Eduard Denile, Eduard Hodge (Viranus's Dead Lover), Eduard Retiene, Fithragaer, Gromm, Lord Lovidicus (not vampire), Norbert Lelles, Owyn**, Primo Antonius, Lewin Tilwald (Shivering), Syndelius Gatharian(Shivering), Storn the Burly, Theranis, Thorley Aethelred, Thurindil, Viranus Donton, Angelie (daughter of Grantham Blakeley), Bernadette Peneles, Emfrid, Methredhel, The Night Mother (not ghost), Vilena Donton and Ysabel Andronicus.

2.2 - Even more faces of Rolgarel, Astav Wirich, Brucetus Festinius, Imperial Prison Guard High Elf during Scheduled for Execution, Ernest Manis, Francois Motierre, Galtus Previa, Grantham Blakeley (not ghost), Mercator Hosidus, Akaviri Commander Mishaxhi (who is an Imperial in-game), Camonna Tong Thug 1 & 2, Roderick, Alawen, Ashanta, Dovesi Dran, Lynda Carter (yes, she exists), Malene, Nerussa and Viera Lerus.

2.5 - Reunited every 87 NPCs faces so far into one folder. Men and Women faces in two distinct folders.

2.6 - 90 faces are now classified by sex and races (some are currently empty). Files "Joofy the Brown" and "Blue Gladiator" have now their correct name. Added Ancotar, Diram Serethi and Alval Uvani.

2.7 - Added Adamus Philida**, Adrian Decanius, Ormellius Goldwine, Alberic Litte, Aelwin Merowald, Adrienne Berene, Ahdarji, Abhuki, Agarmir, Agnar the Unwavering, Agata, Agnete the Pickled (she can't look exactly like her NPC counterpart), Aengvir, Adanrel, Agronak gro-Malog**, Adosi Serethi, K'Sharr, Ah-Malz, Ajum-Kajin, Tar-Meena, every single arena combatants, Yellow Team Champion and Adoring Fan**. Added the Orc folder for each gender because I completely forgot about this race. Oopsi

2.75 - Added two optional files : Gogan and Maelona do not have the same face when they appear as guards. "Gogan&MaelonaFaceFix" fixes that.
Yellow Team Champion doesn't have the same face when we fight her in the arena. "YellowTeamChampionFaceFix" fixes that.

2.76 - The screenshots now show the correct hair color of most faces. Consider using Chargen With Numbers 0.02.

2.8 - Added Ontus Vanin, Vidkun, Falcar, Trayvond the Redguard, Vigge the Cautious, Gaspar Stegine, Garrus Darelliun, Shady Sam, Gogan, Gogan guard, Maelona, Maelona guard, Urnsi Serethi and Erthor. Put Arena combatants into their own folder.

2.9 - Added Arkved, Athrelor, Bolor Savel, Evangeline Beanique, Ida Vlinorman, Hindaril (not vampire), Llevana Nedaren, Slythe Seringi, Rielus (not ghost), Alain (not ghost), Casnar (not ghost), Valdemar (not ghost), Harrow and Eldamil. Also created a new Dead & Ghosts folder and put dead and ghosts characters inside.

2.91 - Every screenshot (172) show correct custom hair color now. Eduard Denile correctly belongs to the dead now. Dynari Amnis is now among the imperials as she should be. The file "ArenaPitDogFemaleDunmerChampion" now has the correct name.

3.0 - Added Roland Jenseric, Seridur, Cylben Dolovas, Ralsa Norvalo, Gilen Norvalo, Grey-Throat, Claudius Arcadia, Claude Maric, Gaius Prentus (Shivering) (he can't look exactly like the same), Fimmion (Shivering), Ri'Zakar, Jeetum-Ze, Ja'Fazir, Oleed-Ei, Jee-Tah, Geel, Rana, Sings-Like-Thunder, Hears-Voices-In-The-Air, Big Head (Shivering) (he can't look exactly like the same), Ocheeva, Teinaava, Scar-Tail, Kud-Ei, J'Ghasta, Wide-Eye (Shivering) (she can't look the same she's pretty ugly here), Kylius Lonavo and Lerexus Callidus.

3.05 - Salomon Geonette has green eyes.

I copy paste their face in the Construction set and find their hair color.
I'm not adding armors at the start of the game because the armor will disappear when you disable my mod… plus as my game is in french, I don't really know what would happen.
