Great mod! My main reason for getting this was to eliminate the looting slowdown you get from carrying too much stuff.
But, if you ever plan to update, I wonder if adding a way to sell to vendors using the vending storage inventory. I imagined using something like a ctrl-click would bring up the "vending storage" instead of your regular inventory. Early in the game you want to really maximize profits, and with a speechcraft character, I get much better prices on my own. The vending storage makes it so much easier to quickly sell stuff, and keeps things nice and organized . Might be far too complicated, IDK? Just a thought. Thanks!
I have a mod for myself that allows us to transfer items from inventory to a vending chest. We can then sell everything out of the chest. The algorithm is simply based of Mercantile and a good disposition with Norbert Welles - it evaluates Mercantile per sale to allow for it going up.
To include Speechcraft would involve a virtual Vendor as well as the virtual chest. It would take sales back to an Item by Item process which I think defeats the purpose. Why take 5-10 minutes instead of under 1 second to Sell All?
That's not such a bad idea, I had thought of something like it. Unlimited carry shouldn't just turn up from nowhere for no reason, it should be quested for then upgrades earned. So, which god and what trials to max it out?
Azura has azuras star where a normal object has extra powers towards its normal purpose (infinite soul storage, and for this mod infinite item storage)
Clavicus Vile has the whole 2 sided bargain thing which could work well if the box is given the right downsides early on
Hermaeus mora deals in infinite knowledge so there could be a tenuous link there
Jyggalag is pretty vague due to only appearing in oblivion briefly so maybe something about a box that infinitely organises so perfectly as to make things weightless? Kinda dumb imo
A box full of loot could work well for nocturnal, prince of thieves
Sheogorath is a bit of a copout (he turned a box inside out or smth isn't that crazy lololol)
Vaermina could work if the box unleashes nightmares so that every time the player sleeps they have to complete a challenge perhaps
Sithis if the box uses the void or smth
In terms of aedra any one of them could be used as a counter to the boxes owner as could some of the more well-meaning daedra.
Thanks for the break down, saved me research as I have not played Oblivion in a long time. Nocturnal does make sense in terms of loot, Vaermina, however, makes sense in terms of penalty - which should be applied. Hmm...Lady Luck or the Dreamweaver.
I had this in a training mod that I took down, max out in around in an hour but no contribution to game play, boring.
My Time Spell mod has 3D maps of Cyrodill and Shivering Isles that bypasses fast travel time penalty. It has usage penalty in Insanity Points, double when teleporting out of an Oblivion Realm. At maximum, we're randomly teleported to 1 of 3 realms to fight for our sanity. Is there a way to make a link between Nocturnal and Vaermina for this mod's purpose? Nocturnal gives us a quest for whatever allows us to carry infinite loot but Vaermina curses it with usage penalty. The first question is about Nocturnal's quest, the next as to why Vaermina curses it - for story sake. Finally the penalty, what does the player lose or have to do as part of the curse?
Do you mean that the Icon and/or the Title is missing?
It should show as a crystal ball Icon with Title "Pandora's Box" under Stones (as in Sigil Stones). I chose that as code can trap the OnEquip without the "This item cannot be equipped" message - this can be seen in the attached Video.
If the Icon is missing or pixelated then it is strange as each under Menus, Menus50 and Menus80 use the correct dds format.

Update 1.01: icons along with code fix for potential bug.
