First of all, love the armor, the armor sets in the GigaDeux pack are some of the best I've seen for Skyrim. I'm curious if you're planning to port the archer set to Oblivion as well. If so, would love to see it. The second thing I have to ask is if you can offer advice to someone also trying to port a skyrim armor mod to Oblivion. I've gotten stuck right at the end and would love some advice from someone who has succeeded in a similar endeavor. If not, it's all good, and thank you again for the armor
You are most welcome. It was the same for me when I first saw this armour at Skyrim, love as first sight really. I knew immediately that this is the armour I want to use for the rest of my gaming and it was 3 years ago or similar. I am as happy today with it as I was that day I found it. I do ensure you that it took me a while until I found it as I looked through a lot of skimpy stuff but that was not what I wanted as I was looking for something like this as it has to be one available. I wanted good looking stuff, less skimpy. Does really skimpy stuff fit with the TES Lore at all? Who knows?? This is not skimpy but still has a nice figure and very nice textures in high quality. Does it fits with the rest of Skyrim and Oblivion? I cannot say it does and I do not care as It cannot be better really for my chars in both games --> TES 4 and 5 . I do play both but mod Oblivion, not Skyrim, not yet at least.. And I am happy.
Yes. If you find anything good, and I mean not skimpy but tasteful and suitable, I see if we could repeat this. I do not know if SunLitEarth is still available as it was some time ago we chatted last time. We also need to debate the issue with the owner and author. Usually it is not an issue but that is not a guarantee.
I think that’s a windows system file. It gets included in all folders but is usually hidden. Probably an oversight by Pellape that they’re in the mod files.
That is true. Most likely it is in every folder. What my desktop.ini will do is to show the files as images. If you do not like it, change the view with File Explorer and it override my settings. They are extremely small files. I do have 5 versions and it will take a lot of time fixing everyone as it will cause no real problems for anyone.
Add which version you use, and I may look into that specific version if you will have problems with it.
Why is the texture in the other game so bright and light and so dark in Oblivion? I will investigate in this, so expect an update and track this mod.
I will peek at the normals in gimp, maybe make new if I cannot use the originals. I seen some hues differ some between the games, the normals in the other game do have a purple touch. I know Oblivion and I feel the other game is very foreign and odd still and also very boring. I will also check the settings in NifSkope, check the material settings but honestly, I think it is a texture problem. Nifskope has many different settings for how things will appear in game. It looks good as it is no matter what. But we now have this package and we can always go back to v1.0 if we fancy it as it is, very very dark.
I be back when I have something that looks more brighter and more colourful. The blue is very light in the other game. To light if you ask me for my taste. I love the purple best personally and the purple looks amassing in the other game. It is not about my taste, it is about being in control, be able to make something look as expected. That is how I work - Pekka, stop typing loads of babble and get started with it... Go away. Get started... So HUSH... There is the gimp and Nifskope.
Honestly - Editing Normals with alpha channels is best done with this very old DDS viewer, alpha editor called DXTBMP. I did use this one when I made my first dds texture for Morrowind in 2004. We did start with TGA files, but they looked so blurred and ugly in game but we all had to start somewhere. I do think Qarl figured out how to make dds files well he was a genius Look at his textures. I still drowl when I see them. Time flies, memory gets blurred... TGA sux... Morrowind did have a lot of tga in original but I forgot, as I did exchange all of them slowly but steady. DXTBMP reminded me. So how old is that program? latest version is from 2009 and fits perfect for all dds polishing, specially when it comes to controlling the alpha channel. The lighter alpha, increases the light and the darker decreases it. I need to find an acceptable balance, that is all I guess.
This does not look as expected. 3 companions are using the blue and 2 are using the purple. Why have I been so blind? Ignorant as well really...

When I try, it is visible in nifscope, but still invisible in the game...
I tried reinstalling, then installed a different version but nothing has worked so far.

It is bold text in Descripton. :D
