Sorry, I don't use other UIs. It isn't as simple as that to make it work for another UI. I use a controller too, with Joy2Keys. No need for another UI.
There is a nifty trick to make this work with NorthernUI, but it takes a bit of work. When you have NorthernUI and this mod installed, locate the map_menu.xml file in 'Oblivion > Data > OBSE > Plugins > menu > main' folder, and open that file in an XML editing program (I used Notepad ++) you may need to install an XML editor within the program.
If you follow the first set of steps in this article posted by the creator of NorthernUI

you can get this mod working with controller support no problem. Let me know if you need a little help and I will try my best to walk you through this process.
Love the mod. Unfortunately, on an ultrawide display, the borders around the map seems to break around the 16:9 mark, leaving some empty space (although functionally the mod works great). Also, I'm unable to get it to work on the Steam Deck at all (maybe the fact that it's 1280x800 has something to do with it?). Thanks.
Hi, unfortunately the map dimensions have to be hard-coded, so it will never be perfect for every display size. You would need to tweak map_menu.xml yourself and see what works for you. As for Steam, sorry, no idea.
Hey, I got it working on the Steam Deck. Turns out the capitalisation of the menu folder was different, so on the Linux system it created two menu folders. Joining those folders fixed it.
As for the ultrawide thing, I'll try editing it myself. Thanks a lot!
You cannot zoom in and out, if that's what you mean. There are three downloads in the Files tab - you choose the one you want and you install it. Each of the variants has a preset zoom level.
Thanks! Actually, the map does show a much larger area than vanilla. You must be comparing it to another UI map which are often rather zoomed out. My default map has 0.75 zoom, and together with the larger screen size, it shows a significantly larger area than vanilla. Please see screenshots for comparison.
Thank you so much for this mod!!!!! I looked everywhere for something that would do this; but not require darnUI (as it's pretty unstable for me; causing lots of CTDs). I thought I'd never be able to find an Oblivion Mod that gives you a bigger map window and doesn't mess up my preexisting map mod (Elven Map Redux [https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/3002] by xythen for anyone interested; though it's common enough I'm sure anyone reading this will know of it); but you still found a way. Kudos to you!!
Thank you, this is lovely to hear! Glad this works out well for you. I made this for myself originally, then thought perhaps other people would also want it...
Your mod causes CTD because map_config.xml and map_template.xml files are located in wrong directory. They should be in menus/prefabs/ui_config, whereas in your file they are in menus/prefabs. Relocating them fixed CTD.

will endorse after testing, thanks!
Endorsed, looks great!Heads up: makes the map bigger in screen size, not the area that map shows.
