About this mod

Adds in some small Fallout-style unmarked locations throughout the Shivering Isles. Despite the name, there is an option to have map markers!

1.1 Update: Adds in 3 new locations! Also fixes some bugs and oversights from the original release, such as floating objects.

SI Unmarked Locations (which I will shorten to SIUL for convenience) adds in a handful of small Fallout-style unmarked locations throughout the Shivering Isles. That is to say, you know how in the Fallout series, you'll sometimes come across a little unmarked cabin or a merchant out in the middle of nowhere, and they're not particularly useful but it makes exploring more fun and sometimes the merchants will have something that is really useful? SIUL is inspired by that! :)

Despite the name of the mod, I have provided two .esps in the download - the .esp titled "SI Unmarked Locations without markers" follows this Fallout-style of unmarked locations, where there are no map markers added upon discovery and it's up to you to remember where the new locations are, and the .esp titled "SI Unmarked Locations with markers" which does add map markers upon discovery. Which does technically make the name of the mod redundant! But hey, I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who enjoy the Fallout-style locations but still prefer fast travel, so that .esp is for them!

At the moment, SIUL adds 12 new locations of varying sizes and complexities. Someday, I want to add in some more, but the Shivering Isles is a deceptively busy place and it's difficult to find locations that are as empty as I'd prefer! Especially once the issue of compatibility comes up. Speaking of...

COMPATIBILITY: SIUL will conflict with any mod that adds in content to the same cells, of course. But surely you can see the problem here - I've been debating for weeks on how to handle the issue of compatibility when the whole point of the mod is that you're not supposed to know where the locations are. So, I've come up with this: at the bottom of this page there will be a list of "general locations" - you know, saying something like "North of New Sheoth" so that you can see if you've got another mod in the way. In the readme, there is a more detailed list of locations with specific cells.

Now, all that being said, SIUL IS COMPATIBLE WITH any mods that ONLY affects the cities - meaning, if your only other SI mod adds in a new house in Crucible or Highcross or something, you'll be fine. It is also compatible with OOO Shivering Isles! Also, it's not a spoiler to say this - it is compatible with Ogramirads Unmarked Places! Also, it is compatible with any other mods I've made :)

There is an INCOMPATIBILITY with the mod Emean Retreat - A Peaceful Shivering Isles Home by ArxVallium but it's not major, seems as though you could use the mods together and simply use the console to disable the decorations that are out of place. If you load Emean Retreat after SIUL, the mods ought to work together best!

INSTALLATION: Don't run both versions of the .esp at once!!! That would be silly! Pick one .esp or the other to install and you can safely ignore the other one. From there, it's simple: these are both just an .esp with no custom resources, so just install the version you want the same way you install any other .esp :)

If you have the original 1.0 release of this mod and wish to upgrade to this new release, then do just as you would do for other .esp's:

1: Go into a cell that IS NOT affected by SIUL and save your game there.

2: Uninstall the original SIUL .esp however you installed it in the first place.

3: Install the new SIUL .esp the same way you install any other .esp :)
