I forgot to add, this mod looks best with a quality enb. we recomend Astroboys tweaked enb as it shows off the colours and does not overdarken the forest floor.
Probably my favorite grass mod I've ever tried, but be sure to clear out your meshes/textures from previous grass mods or you might have an odd grass type here or there. Also when testing with some stuff I ended up raising the density on most plants up quite a bit and it gave a very impressive result, so I'd highly recommend playing around with increasing density if you really like flowers.
EDIT: You'll REALLY want to make sure you've set "iMinGrassSize" in Oblivion.ini back to 80 if you messed with it. I was getting sickening stutter until I reset that to the default of 80.
I installed DearDonkey ENB, and then, your mod... The problem is that the sky turned !Pink" Disabling the grass mod, all return to normal... Is there a way to mix these two mods, both are too awesome...
Thank you Sam, now my game looks like coming right from a fantasy story. I like grass overhaul too, but as I cannot mix the two, yours is my choice. Great work.
mmost of the textures are only 1k do you have performance issues? we could do an even smaller texture pack say 512 by 512 but the quality would take a dive. I will put it on the list to do
Hi i posted pics of my results i have no enb, without an enb the grass will be very dark so i uploaded pics with a modified esp to demonstrate what it would look like with that version if it was available by the mod author who i hope makes that version since i do like these textures.
theres also a few bug issues tho i wabted to mention, tho the textures i have look good many nifs seem to be invisible as I did not see most of the grasses seen uploaded by the mod author, I also had to remove weather changes cuz they make the sky texture missing so it was all pink.
all issues aside this mod is great! very pretty thank you
Hi and thankyou for your feedback. Did you alter the Ini file as suggested? without that alteration you will be missing several grasses. Did you download the latest esp? Important! This mod does not change any weather as far as I can see. Of course the mod was made to take advantage of enb and OR, The game graphics are pants without either of thos I am afraid.
I didn't notice if i had spider web issues so I thought the newest esp was an optional file not the main, after that and the ini changes it worked thanks!
also the new esp is clean but the old one had weather stuff maybe you accidently opened a weather mod at the same time when working on it? in any case it doesn't matter cuz the new esp doesn't have that, also if you want to make an official version for no enb oblvion it's pretty simple, just go into the HDR settings on the weathers and set the grass dimmer values up 1.5 or 2.0 points more, and then of course mention that version alters weather, i'll post another collage of the working version for refrence!
In the past with earlier grass mods that received an atlassed update, I noticed that really enhances performance.
You perhaps may want to have a look into "Daydream - Grass Texture Atlas" (by @maczopikczo) mod description page, which basically is your father's "Imperial Ecology (Vanilla Flavour)" meshes and the textures atlassed.

Edited Quote: "All grass textures from "plants" folder combined into 3 large atlases - 4k each. They are large, but each of them is loaded only once in every cell (even if all 3 of them are needed).
Previously 50 textures were loaded up to 50 times, jamming the CPU single core that's used by this game. I also modified grass/groundcover meshes so that they use only 3 types of material (for 3 texture atlases) instead of 50.
So draw calls for materials are also reduced. On my computer the stability and FPS boost is clearly noticeable."
While I am not even sure if your mod still includes your fathers plants (do they?), but what I did is loading that daydream atlas mod after "Grasses of Tamriel".
And I must mention performance greatly improved, while many of your flowers seen in your screenshots and all of the ground foliage is still visible in-game.
Probably with this method some of your new 3D meshes may be overwritten, but may be a viable option for other users to try out to have atlas involved to improve performance.
PS: I even went the distance and solely for testing purpose tried loading "Grass overhaul+GO atlas" after your mod+Daydream atlas to see if it would be possible to create even more atlassed diversity.
Great performance, and also with that combination I can still spot all of the foilage, some plants and flowers from your mod screenshots in-game.
But of course, GO+altlas would replace many more than just your mod+Daydream atlas as I described earlier.
Nice to know more grass mods are still being made, but sorry to say, but cant really see the grass and their textures in these screnshots. Too much effect. If possible, can you upload with less or no effect? Ty and sorry for the inconvenience.
The mod seems to erase all the cobwebs from the game - if it's because of the ini adjustments you mention I'm stuck because I'm not a modder and can't find it to do that...shame. Really liked this one.
Simply gorgeous, a much needed addition to vanilla oblivion. Sadly I'm already using several grass mods, which makes it a challenge to play with your mod in tow and keep good performance. If someone could make astlassed textures for this beautiful mod, that wouls be awesome as i myself got no clue on how to do that myself.

If you replace the esp with the cobweb fix one the pink sky should dissapear.

Can't wait to try myself tomorrow.
One question: are these atlassed?
Because currently I am using Grass Overhaul atlassed
and the improvement from that atlassed version is *very* noticeable...
No these are not atlassed, I do not know how to do that.
Thank you kindly for the clarification.
