Is there a way to get this mod to work without the Vile Lair dlc? & if not, Is there a version where you don't need it?

This mod is a must if all you're after is a more comprehensive yet still vanilla friendly vampire experience. I'm glad that this doesn't alter NPCs in any way which makes it more compatible with mods that make changes to NPC vampire aesthetics. I think this mod would be even better with an optional reverse-vanilla progression allowing us some more agency over how we want to experience vampirism, since that (alongside the optional aesthetic disabler included) has always been the biggest gripe the community has with vanilla vampirism.

But because of how unobtrusive this mod is, it can be used alongside any otherwise stable combination of character mods -- birthsigns, racial abilities, class overhauls, you name it! This is probably going to be permament in my list until something takes this 9 out of 10 to an 11.

Yay I'm glad to see a mod that doesn't reverse the feeding system! I'll download it now and check it out :)

PS. I thought it'd be really cool to make it so that feeding harmed/killed NPCs to make it a bit more consequential on who you choose to feed from (especially as a morally good character). I mulled around in the CS to try to make it do just that but haven't figured it out.

Would you consider adding other Daedric Prince abilities in the future? Perhaps even an addon for Shivering Isles that gives you special abilities if you chose Sheogorath as your Daedric Prince? I have way to many ideas, and no modding skills. Let me know if you ever want me to rant about them to you so you can steal them. Or don't. I can get annoying.

I want to be a chaotic nightmare of a vampire. Feel the almighty power of pepper-jack cheese!

That actually sounds really cool XD I only chose Molag and Vile because in the lore, they were the two that were really connected with vampires (Vile was for Cyrodiilic ones, since they are supposed to "blend in" more than Skyrim's, supposedly). I don't know if I'll ever update the mod to add that, but it's a cool idea and I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for your feedback!

have you considered adding an enchantment for resisting sun damage, also does this mod alter the script for sun damage? i want to know if i can use other mods that alter sun damage with this one. seems neat either way.

Sorry for the late reply, but I didn't touch sun damage in this mod (other than changing how much the player takes at different stages). So if something touches the actual sun damage script, they should still work fine together.

To be completely honest i had never tried a serious or long vampire build on Oblivion (my fault since i fell for prejudices of that thing being unplayable or really annoying) nor any mods to modify it, actually i don't even know how Vanilla Vampire Experience would be. However it's been 60+ hours since i'm using this mod and, god, it's gorgeous and fun.
First thing, I love the Daedric Lore intertwined with Vampirisim and relatives powers, pure genius, giving also the possibility of two completely different build (Still have to try Clavicus), i think this is the spearhead specially for a Daedric lover like me. About my experience (Khajiit - JJ'sSteed - Rouge), I've been worshipping Molag for quite a while, being Its devotee and reaching Ancient Vampire status: Mechanics and Powers feels so good and interesting, not overpowering since spongy enemies or difficult ones are still a challenge (less painful of course).
About Molag Bal powers, Submission is very... idk... tbh at first it seems by the description overpowered but it doesn't feel gamebreaking at all. Lore-wise it's perfect and Gameplay-wise It use a lot of stamina knocking you down if you overuse it, however i think that i unvolontarly find good synergy between your JJ'sBirthsign (Steed) and Submission Power. It's perfect for a 1v1. But getting very niche against group of enemies.
About how to become a Deadric Deity follower, It would be perfect if you could divide the Daedric Blood Altar into two different ones, maybe putting them near their respective Daedric Shrines/Statues. Storage Cave is not a bad position, however, i would live that location for Potions and that gentle inhabitant.
The Vampiric Vision makes all thing really dynamic and immersive: really feeling a Predator with that plus the Invisibility power. (so glad you made it weak to sun while using it during day even if 'Full' for avoiding to spamming it in daylight).
About 'Hunger' i love it. It's balanced, it's immersive and it feels perfect. Beside, i would put a limit to the stackable feeding after being ''Full''. I've stupidly drain many times the prisoner in Deepscorn Hideout and i'm still Full even after quite some days (or it's a bug)?
I love the new (?) power of concealing the vampire apparences. Roleplaying is so satisfying.
Also, you could add some Racial related bonuses. Since Bosmer, Redguard, Altmer and Argonians already have those resistance. Just to balance the already sad racial passive bonuses of Vanilla (as always Bretons seems to have for default the better and longer stick). And giving Khajiit a better version of that Vampiric Vision since they have by default Eyes of Night. Or i can wait for a maybe-JJ'sRaces ;D (just to clarify, i love your JJ's Birthsign).

In conclusion, you have done a fantastic work; i'm so happy that i have translate it in my language right before playing it. ( PS: I love your Daedric Dream interpretation)

Thank you so much for all of your kind words and suggestions! I like the idea of racial bonuses for vampires, I might look into making an addon or something to incorporate it. I'm actually looking into making a race overhaul right now, but it may take a while for me to get it out.
I tried looking into the hunger issue, and I think the counter is just going too high like you said. I did find a weird glitch when I fed multiple times using potions in my inventory at once (drinking two before closing the menu) will make your hunger state stuck forever (I got stuck on content). I'm not sure if that might have been what happened, but I'm looking into fixing it now and putting a limit on extra feeding, so thanks for letting me know about that!
I'm also working on a big mod to pair with this one which will have separated shrines, but I wanted to keep the daedric shrines as one just for convenience for this mod since I didn't want to touch too many different locations just in case. And for Submission, I've reworked that a couple times in the past, so thank you for the feedback on that, I wasn't sure how well it would work in a full playthrough but I'm glad it's working for you! I might look at reducing the cost a little bit, though. Thanks again!

Is this mod safe to install if you already have vampirism?

I just did some testing, so no, it doesn't work if your character is a vampire. If you want to install it mid-playthrough with a vampire character, you'll have to cure them first, save without vampirism, install the mod, then re-contract vampirism (which does work, the easiest way is to buy the vampirism potion from the vampire in the Storage Cave under the Talos Bridge by the Imperial City). It seems to work perfectly after that, it's just that being a vampire while installing the mod can cause some weird issues. For an easy cure, you can type "player.additem 977E4 1" into the console for the cure vampirism potion.

Great timing, I was just wondering if there were any mods that made it worthwhile to be evil in this. The fact that there's no evil equivalent of the Crusader's Relics is a huge letdown. Will definitely be trying this on my next playthrough.
