For whoever concerned, noticed there's some incompatibility with Roads of Cyrodiil on the location with Goodwill Chapel, the chapel and a guard tower clip into each other and there's some land tearing. Also some conflicts with Sutch village.
-Fixed some object placement errors. -Disabled a bunch of rocks that you can't see inside the Chapel mesh. -Smoothed out the landscape transition as best I could besides fixing the tears.
This was a tough one but it's the best I could do. Colmurry still looks a little buried in the ground but the tears are gone and the landscape transition looks fairly natural.
Same problem. I had to delete the mod since the game won't load with it. Maybe that's for the best, for now anyway, since apparently it needs patches for UL, Sutch, Elsweyr, & Roads of Cyrodill, all of which I use and most other users too; those are pretty standard mods. Possibly the HESU mod collection as well, since that's such a sprawling landscape changer. I hope someone takes on the challenge of patching it at some point, since it looks like a good mod.
It works fine on my game so I'm pretty sure it's a conflict with something. Might even be the load order for all I know. As for compatibility with those other mods, I'm afraid you'll have to compromise from using big mods like UL.
I think the problem has to do with the Bashed patch, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to understand why. After adding this mod into a heavily modded game I encountered the same problem of freezing on the loading screen. The problem didn't present itself until after I rebuilt the Bashed patch with this mod active in the load order.
After a whole bunch of trial and error I then installed this mod on a fresh Steam copy of Oblivion GOTY with nothing other than xOBSE and a Bashed Patch. After building the patch I can't launch the game. This mod is listed as a master in the Bashed patch itself, but I don't know why. It has no tags and LOOT doesn't suggest any.
Did some further testing and the "NPC Checker" option when building the Bashed patch appears to be the reason the mod gets listed as a master. From the patch summary:
Eyes/Hair Assigned for NPCs • ChapelsofCyrodiil.esp: 21
EDIT: Using xEdit I managed to narrow down the culprit to these NPC's:
If I remove these records from the Bashed patch then the game will load. Again, I don't know that much about modding so I have no idea what's actually in these records that's causing the game to hang.
Thank you for the feedback. The "Reborn" NPCs have a custom race I created for them but I can't see any errors with that. I only created it so they wouldn't have any voice lines. All the NPCs you listed do have their eyes and hair set to "NONE", however. I've never had issues with that before but I've chosen specific hair and eye styles for those NPCs in the new file I just uploaded. Hopefully this fixes the problem. Please try it out and let me know if it does!
It's crashing because there's an option in the Bashed Patch to automatically assign hair and eyes to NPCs that don't have any. Since this mod uses a custom race for them it bugs out and makes the game crash.
Still crashing after the new update unfortunately. Same result, if I remove the records for those NPC's from the Bashed patch it will work. Seems like the issue is with the custom race like DEEJMASTER333 said? Hopefully you can work out a fix because this (and your other mods) are exactly the kind of little enhancements that make Oblivion shine!
Thank you very much for you kind words but I'm afraid I can't figure out what the problem is. After assigning hair and eyes to the NPCs I can't see anything else that could be the cause of this.
New version of the mod is working with the latest WIP build of Wrye Bash. (which specifically fixes issues regarding the NPC checker function.) You can download it it from the Wrye Bash Discord.
So it comes out that this mod should be used with Wrye Bash v.310 and newer, but "Since 310, Wrye Bash no longer supports Windows 7 (or older).", and thus it also comes out that this mod requires Windows newer than Windows 7. Perhaps you should mention it in the description.
Me (and a lot of people with old computers). Excuse me, but Windows 10 and newer just cannot be installed on my crappy notebook, so I have to use Windows 7 on it. And I don't like Windows 8 at all.
@DEEJMASTER333 I know I shouldn't, but I want to play modded Oblivion and I play it, although with little FPS.
Thanks to Dispensation's reply to my post to his Oblivion Comprehensive Modding Guide by Dispensation there is a way to launch Oblivion with Chapels of Cyrodiil without freezing: just turn off the NPC Checker in the Bashed Patch (of Wrye Bash 309). So disregard my post about adding the Wrye Bash 310 requirement to the Chapels of Cyrodiil.
Nibenon76, glad you could figure out a solution to your problem. I've mentioned this in the mod description so hopefully those who run into the same problem can find the cause quickly.
@Nibenon76 you can use this https://github.com/nalexandru/api-ms-win-core-path-HACK with this you can install the newest Python, which will allow you to use newer apps not compatible with Win7, like Wrye Bash :) I have also a crappy laptop 12 years old and I play and mod Oblivion just fine........
@starlessmao81ac Thanks. Well, I copied the x86 dll into C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and the x64 dll into C:\Windows\System32 as it was instructed in its Readme, but still cannot run the latest Python installer - it fails.
It seems to me that you made all the inhabitants of the chapels aggressive in vain. It was possible to make them pray, perform rituals and something like that ...
For some reason when I have this mod installed my game freezes after the bethesda logo screen just after launching the game. Could be a mod conflict I don't know. I am not using UL mods.
Such a shame, I was looking forward to try this out. Seems awesome
Right now I can't say exactly since I have a pretty big mod list, sorry. If it works for others then it must be some kind of mod conflict. Too bad man, I really like the concept of the mod.
I use several of your mods, really nice job there. Thank you and keep up the good work!
these Chapels and Cathedrals are a lot of fun, a much needed spruce up for the various dungeons of Cyrodiil.
Whilst conflicts with Unique Landscapes were expected, i am however sad to report that this mod also has a Small Conflict with Elsweyr/Anequina, particularly in the location of the Ruined Cathedral, where there is some landscape tearing, not to mention plunked right into the middle of the road to the North Border to Elsweyr.
i myself might make a patch, but i am but a novice modder and unsure of how much good i could do.

You can just upload it to this page if you want.

Anyways, great mod. Endorsed!
