It's my first time dealing with windows 10 now (I know, I know, I'm late to the party) and I had a lag of several seconds when using the command "saveini" which is part of this mod as well.
Adding the Oblivion.ini as exception to Windows Defender seems to have fixed this.
Works wonderfully, if you're having issues with no screenshots (at all) try disabling the in game Anti Aliasing and forcing it through some other means (nvidia control panel, etc.)
If you take a screenshot you get a prompt in the top left that says something like "Screenshot File: Oblivion/screenshot1.bmp" should be in the same folder as your game exe
playing through MO2 (with gog version) in case anyone wondered if that mattered, it doesnt
Fun fact: In addition to just using this mod as is, if you got your steam overlay working either through Steam Overlay Enabler or the Mod Organizer alternative found in its comments;
Steam will take the screenshot and you can keepbAllowScreenShot=0in yourOblivion.ini
It'll save you from taking a double screenshot!
Disclaimer: You may just have to hold the button a bit, making it kinda pointless. But hey! Fun fact!
This does not work for me. Sorry. Screenshot is enabled in the oblivion.ini. If I press F12 the hub disappear shortly. But I don't find any pictures, neither in the game directory ( D:/Games/xxx...) nor in documents/my games/oblivion. ( I'm using the GOG - Game of The Year deluxe version. Windows 10. )
This just presses the key, basically. As listed on the description page: You must be able to take screenshots normally, i.e. it must be enabled in your Oblivion.ini file (bAllowScreenShot=1) & pressing "Print" must create a screenshot.
If it works, screenshots are in your game directory.
hey laulajatar, first off really nice mod, it's so helpful:) I wanted to ask, do you know if there exists an oblivion mod that automatically converts the saved .bmp into a .jpg like Istewie did in his New Vegas tweaks?
I don't know of any. I believe Oblivion Reloaded has that option (To save as jpg - last version I used was 6.5 so I can't help you there, where to find it and how it works, and it replaces the screenshot function, so it wouldn't work with this mod). I'm not a fan of any that do, because the jpg compression always looks crappy to me.
I've started using my system's own screenshot function, so I can get pngs which are smaller, but have no quality loss. There probably are tools like that for windows, too (sharex? fraps? No idea anymore.) Also uses a different key then for obvious reasons, so with that I am back to hide hud - take screenshot - show hud.
