Very nice! Nice idea. Thx for the mod! (I got it through a link of push the win button)
It does not work exactly the same as in your video. When casting a spell with no magica, i doesn't work as smouth as in your video. It takes more time (a sec. or so) and in that second the SOUND of the spel does; SO SO SO SO SO SO SOUND. So in that second, when nothing seems to happen the sound is broken and only got fully played when the spell is cast.
I just wanted to thank you so much for creating this Mod, along with the attribute progression mod. You provided the simplest, most authentic, and in my opinion, best leveling mod around. Having the attributes carry over was a brilliant idea!
I also wanted to say that after 15 years of playing this game, your Mortal Magic mod taught me something new about the game. I had no idea that if you take fatigue damage while in mid air, you'll rag-doll and fall down upon landing. Or at least, that's how it seems, as when I jump and cast spells without magicka, that always happens! Pretty hilarious tbh! Probably not intended but I'm actually kinda glad, as it makes sense that you should be able to jump around effectively while actively killing/exhausting yourself hahaha
Thanks again for your brilliant ideas and hard work!!
How does one set up the mod? I have OBSE, but it does not appear to be working. I tried setting it up with both Vortex and OBMM with both giving me the same results.
A swift reply would be greatly appreciated. I would love to use this mod in my modded playthrough of Oblivion.
If you are using a mod manager, you've probably installed this particular mod just fine. Just in case you haven't, all you have to do with this mod is place the .esp file included in the download into the Data folder inside of your main game directory (the folder where Oblivion.exe is located). After that, you need to enable the mod using a checkbox, either through your mod manager or through OblivionLauncher.exe -> Data Files.
To install OBSE correctly, you need to ensure that you are placing the files you downloaded into your main game directory, NOT the Data folder. You might be having issues because your mod manager has placed the OBSE in the wrong location. I recommend manually downloading OBSE, opening the compressed file you downloaded, and manually extracting its contents into the folder that houses your Oblivion.exe. Hope that helps!
Nice idea, will be using this, I always like the idea of a mage being able to cast a spell as a last-ditch effort but with some risk to the caster's health to go with it. Kudos!

can you make a patch please?
However it doesn't seem to work with Northern UI using a controller to cast spells
