You could try using Dynamic Map (https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/35969, it also applies the roads and trails) with the Elven Map version and then replace the map with the version from 2016, because the trails should only be overlayed. If that doesn't work, I can look into adding it manually.
For some reason this map is showing up really blurry or low res. I had the regular (no hidden trails) colored map modded in before it was sharp like how this should show up per your images of the mod. What can I do to fix this? I used manual install by pasting the textures folder into my data folder.
neverminded, apparently I just needed to change the texture size in video options from medium to large. not sure why it showed up fine with other world map mods though
Probably due to me messing up the low res versions, maybe I can look into that in the future, though I'm unsure if I will remember. Texture size should always be set to large anyway if at all possible, because a good amount of vanilla files have similar issues otherwise.
You do not need this mod if you use Dynamic Map (https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/35969). Choose the "Color Map style" when installing Dynamic Map, then you will get the colored map with the hidden roads and trails shown.
An excellent mod. Over time with playing Oblivion I've found nearly all of those roads on your new map, but it would have been very nice to have known about them from the start.
I definitely see your point, but one could view it as a "reward" for the adventurous to walk these special paths, when they adventure through the countryside instead of just them being presented on the map. Though I agree with you on showing all roads, which is why I made this mod.

This is because I didn't create the sprites for the hidden roads, I just merged them with the vanilla and colored map versions. I sadly don't have the skills needed to add such roads by myself.

Though I agree with you on showing all roads, which is why I made this mod.
