Bug with Bothiel, not sure if this affects other DLC delayers.

Talking to her will prompt her dialogue that I have not found the orrery parts that she requested, even when my character has had no contact with her or a courier before.

are you using the unofficial dlc patches? while the orrery patch is not mandatory for the mod to work, I think I left it to them to fix this problem since I believe it was only immersion breaking, not game breaking. either way I'll start prodding around with the construction set soon.
thank you for letting me know.

Well, I've got some bad news. The CSE is crashing every time I try to open the greetings tab, no matter if it's my mod or the base game. There's something I gotta fix about my install & modding arrangement here, but it has been months since I've launched Oblivion or had the passion to continue modding. I gotta ask, is the issue game breaking? Does Boethial refuse to talk about other subjects until you get the parts? Or does she merely mention the quest and ruin the immersion a bit? I hate to brush this issue under the rug for now, and I wouldn't like to if this was game breaking, but with my other projects going on I can't promise a timely fix.
I'll sticky this thread of comments for now so everyone will see the issue.

Looks like a fairly neat mod, but, unless they're or not and gates, the requirements for the cove seem a bit too specific, and wouldn't thieves guild progress also represent adequate trouble with the Law?

Great mod, but this time for some reason Knights of the Nine suddenly started without me getting that book.  The topic "Propehet" suddenly popped up when I was walking around in the Imperial City. I went to Anvil to make sure and there the prophet was and outside the chapel was a guard. I didn't even go inside, this is highly disapointing. Not sure what happened, I just reached lvl 28 shortly before I that topic showed up. So I have seen them alive for the first time and had hoped to put it off for a bit longer. On the other hand Battlehorn Castle haven't showed up yet, even that I think I should qualify. But that might be a miscalculation on my part.

Would really like to use this mod, but it doesn't seem to work whether I use Vortex or OBMM. Dunno if I've done something wrong or if it just doesn't like one of the other mods I'm using, but nevertheless the mod just doesn't seem to work with no discernible reason why.

This looks like it works really well. I left the sewers without a single notification of a DLC quest, but thanks to my LOD I can see Frostcrag tower off on the top of that mountain, so I know the DLCs are on. I visited Anvil because in 13 years of playing since getting the SI expansion, I have never been inside a not-wrecked Temple of Dibella. All is beautiful, except for one problem.

When Shadownet Ninja says it uses more than one script per DLC and it's best to play it on a Vanilla build, he's understating things. A lot. I play a very heavily modded but generally stable game. I was down to a handful of CTDs per week. Now that I've added this mod, I can't play two hours without a CTD even just fast-travelling inside the cities, and everything that loads causes a ridiculous slow-down, which means the CTDs happen even more often than every two hours when I'm outside of the cities. I'm sure it's because my RAEVWD/LOD loading everything within ten cells of my character creating a scripting conflict or something, but with this mod I would estimate my odds of crashing every time I enter a new cell or have a new object or oblivion gate pop up on my compass are better than 40%. I've even had CTDs when opening the inventory of a monster I just killed.

It does what it says, and I like what it says it does, but definitely stay away unless you're playing an otherwise straight vanilla game.

does this work with Battlehorn Castle Upgraded ?
does this work with the unofficial dlc patches ?
edit: if you are using Universal Horse Armor mod it will deactivate as it wants to check for DLCHorseArmor.esp ,this can probably be fixed by locally removing all references to DLCHorseArmor.esp in the file.
Battlehorn Castle Upgraded works via overwriting the DLC so when i went to there wasnt any bandits around with the gates being closed, based on that i assume its working for it.
Maybe it will also work for Frostcrag Reborn, Frostcrag Revisited or Thieves Den Major Upgrade, as those are also overwriting the DLC, it probably wont work for Vile Lair Redux as its using its own esp on top of the DLC.

    Suggestion:

Battlehorn Castle alternative: available after being Master of the Fighter's Guild.
Frostcrag Spire alternative: available after becoming Arch Mage.
Thieve's Den alternative: available after becoming the Grey Fox.

So if you play a certain character type (but want to complete all quests) you can still experience all the DLCs without having to boost your stats.

It's a good idea, more options are always better. And it'd be very easy to implement, too.
Say Oooiii, I just saw your DLC OCO faces fixed mod, that was just the kind of thing I was looking for months ago when I still played. Do you know your way around scripting? It may be that this mod is better in your hands, since you've got passion for fixing up Oblivion's DLC whereas I've lost it. If not, I'll have to get around to adding this idea and fixing the orrery dialog another time, since I've still not had the passion to make the necessary reinstalls to get my CSE working again.
And this goes out to anyone reading this. If you want to release a enhanced or bugfixed version, go for it. I can also give you mod detail permissions. My scripting shouldn't be too hard to understand for an experienced modder. Just gimme a little credit ;)

The orrery dialogue is far from game breaking and is only a minor annoyance at best. You still get the courier note.

What about a delay for the Spell Tomes conjurer that hunts down your character after installing the DLC?

Since the Spell Tomes DLC doesn't have a quest associated with it, I never really did want to mess with it. The Conjurer could be delayed, but you would still find spell tomes in random loot even before meeting any requirements I could come up with to delay his spawn.
And since the Conjurer is just a generic mook, I didn't really find it immersion breaking for him to appear. He'll never tackle you when you're in a town or dungeon, just the overworld (unless he spotted you, initiated combat, then followed you into a dungeon if you ran) so you could handwave it as two people's paths crossing. Cyrodiil has a ton of crooks who'll just attack anyone on sight.
And personally, I actually just really liked the Conjurer's behavior and didn't want to change it at all. It was the Conjurer's AI that I looked at when learning what to do to make the Couriers seek the player.
That said, if you have any ideas for requirements to delay the Conjurer, I could whip something up. I think I'd only offer the Spell Tomes delayer in the modular download, though. This could be a problem if you like to keep your mod count low, but don't know how to merge mods.

I already made that fix because I hated that guy attacking me every time I started a new character. Can be merged in a bashed patch because I didn't just copy and paste the character somewhere else. I just moved him to a new logical location and changed his AI so he doesn't hunt you down like a heat seeking missile.

Good mod, always disliked the fact that you could get a quest pop up about hearing rumours of something when you are miles away from civilisation. The ones that claim you get a message were also stupid because no courier comes to give you one.
Thanks for such a good mod, can't wait to give it a go :)

same here, it always pissed me off then i go to start a new adventure and then i get bombarded with these damn messages on content i want to discover later then now. like "plz i am a lvl 1, how am i going to defeat the guardian of the shimmering isles if all i can do best is square off with a random mud crab?"
      I digress, Good mod Shadownet.
