Below is the list of changes, in Dispensation's own words:
Note that I didn't modify any textures or meshes, but I included them in the package anyway to make it easier.
I added the text 'Version 1.0' to the ESP description to help with LOOT metadata, as a way to differentiate your mod from jbvw's mod, which has the same ESP name as your one. I am contributing to LOOT's Oblivion masterlist lately now.
I also added the bash tags {{BASH:Deactivate,Graphics,NoMerge}} so it can be imported into the bashed patch.
The BashTags\Alluring Wine Bottles.txt file included will automatically remove LOOT's added 'MustBeActiveIfImported' bash tag, which was only needed for jbvw's mod, because it had a BSA with it, and thus needed to be active for the BSA to load its assets. Since your mod has no BSA, the tag is not needed.
If you go to Cindanwe's House in Shivering Isles now you can see the mead has the new models and textures.
I am gettiong this error from Wyre bash, Sir. loot_parser.py 144 get_resolved_tags: Error while evaluating LOOT conditionTraceback (most recent call last): File "bash\loot_parser.py", line 244, in get_tags_from_lootKeyError: FName('Alluring Wine Bottles.esp')During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred:Traceback (most recent call last): File "bash\loot_parser.py", line 139, in get_resolved_tags File "bash\loot_parser.py", line 356, in _resolve_tags File "bash\loot_parser.py", line 332, in eval_condition File "bash\loot_conditions.py", line 95, in evaluate File "bash\loot_conditions.py", line 300, in _fn_version File "bash\loot_conditions.py", line 377, in _process_pathbash.exception.EvalError: Illegal file path: May not specify paths that resolve to outside the game folder.Occurred here: Alluring Wine Bottles.esp Any Fix ?
In the Wrye Bash Mods tab, the plugin for Alluring Win bottles is highlighted in red. is this to expected? in game the wine bottle look like they should compared to the images on this page. so I'm not sure what it means when it highlighted in red.
Hi, I'll just quote Dispensation from another page:
If any of the mods are highlighted red after installing with Wrye Bash (including the official DLCs) due to having the same timestamp, press control+A (or just control+click on the affected mods to highlight them), right-click on the highlighted mods, go to 'File..' and then 'Redate...'. Just click 'OK' without typing anything, and all of the highlighted mods will have a modified date different to each other, and the error messages will be gone.
If everything goes well, the highlight will be gone, the name of the plugin will be in italics, and orange/brownish font colour. Don't put the tick in the box next to it (it's mergeable, so its data will be imported to the bashed patch).
Thankyou very much that seems to have done the job. I've experienced lots of crashes and have been trying my best to figure out what the issue is, do you know if it was this mod causing problems? the instruction you have provided didn't appear in the Bevilix mod list which is the mod list I have been using.
Thankyou EDIT: when I say this mod causing problems, what I mean is, me having not followed this step "(or just control+click on the affected mods to highlight them), right-click on the highlighted mods, go to 'File..' and then 'Redate...'. Just click 'OK' without typing anything," If I leave this highlighted in red do you know if it causes CTD?
If there are mods in your load order that conflict like that it's very likely you'll get constant crashes indeed. Also, it's best to run BOSS to sort out your load order.
I do have BOSS working with Wrye bash, I'm very new to both applications and for the most part it's quite simple to use but I'm still learning. Thank you for your response and for your help!
No worries, all of us have been new at modding once :) So what happens after you run BOSS?
Also, unrelated to this - are there any mods after the bashed patch left after sorting out the load order? Keep in mind, too, that crashes may result from the computer being too weak for all the enhancements (TES4 uses only one core of your CPU), and that the game engine has some severe limitations as well. What resolution are you playing at, and what size textures are you using? What are your other mods? I recommens asking a question at either Bevilex or Dispensation modding guide pages - both are very active with many helpful modders around.
Plus, how often is "often"? This (modded) game is quite notorious for crashes.
BOSS is loading all Mods in the mods tab above Bashed Patch aside NAO.esp, NAO-Brighter Nights.esp and PotionReplacer.esp, But I used the boss_gui.exe to manually create User rules for each of the three mods I've listed here, to be loaded before the Bashed Patch, 0.esp.
I'm currently running the game in 2560x1440 Texture size Is set to Large
I've matched the video settings bevilex recommends as best as I can without the use of Darnified UI. (meaning I can't see the exact % of the sliders I'm adjusting)
I have downloaded most of the mods from the Bevilex mod list, too many to list here, but I left out Oblivion reloaded because the page is hidden at this time so I have no ENB installed.
I have been chatting to some of the folks in the Bevilex mod list page and they have been very helpful indeed but I'm still struggling to pinpoint my exact issue.
When I say often, for example, I'll be running around a town entering and exiting buildings including castles and churches for around 3 minutes and then the game will crash, but I can run for quite a while in the wilderness but still crash after around 10 minutes.
I have both Engine bug fixes and 4GB patch, even installed the NVAC-new Vegas anti crash All Unofficial patches, including DLC patches are installed too.
I had the same issue. I checked the esp and wyre bash marked it with red. After deactivating the esp the checkbox was green with an dot in the center. I think that issue is due the fact that the bash tag 'deactivate' is included. I dont see this esp merged into the bashed file, but it should be imported in any way, right?
Alluring Wine Bottles.esp should be kept deactivated at all times and imported into the bashed patch, so that only the graphics related changes from the mod are imported. That is why it has the Deactivate bash tag. If you activate an ESP in Wrye Bash that has the Deactivate bash tag, Wrye Bash will highlight it red, telling you to deactivate it.
Hi, if the bottle is the same shape it should be as easy as copying the mead bottle mesh and pasting it to the relevant SI folder (replacing any existing mesh). I should really do it, but I've had a lot of rl work recently, so I'm not sure when I'll get down to it. Thanks for pointing it out, though.
Hmm, to be honest, you will be better off asking the original mod author (jbvw - alas, absent since September 2018) about it. I only repacked it and made all new textures. I'm really no good at CS, but you may want to ask someone at bevilex mod guide. Those guys are very active and knowledgeable. (By the way, I'd love to find a tutorial that explains in detail all the bash tags, with examples of what they do...)
Thank you for making me feel like I'm drinking Port from the time of the Napoleonic Invasions. I can see what you mean by too modern, but I think this is the best anyone can really do for labels. Kudos!
As usual, great job well done A question though about Ayleid_People's Alluring Potion and Wine Bottles v3 for OOO - @ http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/34219 - which has an Alluring Wine Bottles.esp that would overwrite your esp, if using COBL V1.74, OOO V1.40 and uFCOM V1.0 do you think I need this esp and is it a problem if it overwrites yours ?
Hmm, strange I never answered this question... I'm sorry, guys.
No, they don't overwrite each other. One is Alluring Potion Bottles v3.esp (from the mod you mentioned), and the other is Alluring Wine Bottles.esp (from Alluring Wine Bottles and this mod). So no conflict here. I'm not sure though whether Alluring Potion Bottles v3.esp changes any meshes or texture paths, but it'd be quite unlikely.
I think you confused these wine bottles with this mod. Alluring Wine Botles fortunately doesn't touch potions at all, so you should be good to go.
I recommend you use Wrye Bash to install Alluring Potions first, then install Alluring Wine Bottles, and if in an unlikely scenario you see any weird textures on wine bottles, please send me an image to examine, and I'll make necessary amendments. Wrye Bash will be helpful if you need to uninstall one (or more) of the mods without ripping out any crucial files.
Hi, and thanks. The version with liquid is unlikely to happen soon, because I've taken up another quite a large project which I'm going to complete first. But this idea is still simmering on the backburner.
