I'm a landscape designer/dungeoneer in the Oblivion mod community.
The key words I use to make my work "interesting" are "Exploration, High Quality, Confinement, Complex Fractal Geometry and Frontlining".
In my landscaping I make player houses in places that are interesting to explore - as the xul landscape mods - where I use most of Betty's and Tamara's resources to generate a Jungle Oblivion outlook and Kielanai's to make it all "Akaviri Styled".
As a dungeoneer I try to make an never ending but always interesting dungeon.
To do this I use the idea of "Fractal Geometry" giving each cave at least three exits to three different caves thus giving the player a "real" choice on how to continue and I use the ideas of "Complex" and "Confinement" to make these different exits "hard to find" thus making each cave "interesting to explore".
What I consider my greatest achievement up to date is the "underground" connection between the deepest caves in my two independent mods Akaviri Kojima Extended - @ https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/40832 - and Elsweyr_Leyawiin_Topal Bay Walkabout - @ https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/30816/?


Of my work I consider only AKE and ELT to be WIP and currently I'm working on AKE ...
A little reflection here ..
If earning a living working for a game company one must always channel the work towards the Publication Deadline but as a modder you might meander with the flow ...
