Howdy! Just wanted to note that, when the Unofficial Patch hotfixes, I'll probably update this mod. Nothing major, just a small bugfix for "Fingers of the Mountain" if you were trying to complete it and get Teekeeus' recommendation at the same time and making the doomstones change optional. I don't have an ETA on the Unofficial Patch update, but hopefully, it'll be soon.
Reading back over older comments, I also wanted to apologize for any unnecessary rudeness on my part. I realize that it's too little, too late, but I really can't defend my behavior, and can't recall why I acted that way.
Anyway, have a great day or night, everyone, and thanks for your support!
Just a heads up for anyone using this mod. There is an incorrect formid that clearly overwrites an improper record from the oblivion.esm in Block 7, Sub-Block 6 in the temporary section. Formid 00071A4A improperly overwrites an oblivion.esm REFR. As the formid in OCR doesn't reference any other formids, it can easily be changed to XX05D4AF. (where xx is the load order number for OCR). I copied the original as a new record and then after deleting it, used that formid to change the bad 00071A4A formid to the new one. That ensured no other records were compromised and any other records that may have needed to were also revised. No other records where referenced.
Leaving the error in the esp will likely result in a ctd if that formid is called
So this plugin also needs the main file "Project.esp" but there is no esp file named like that.... Where is it? Where do I download or get it? I can't start the game with this mod because it needs the "Project.esp"!
As noted below, it sounds like Oblivion Uncut adds much more content than this mod, with this mod primarily adding content that was complete or mostly complete. This sounds like a "pick one or the other" kind of deal. This mod for more "complete" content only, Oblivion Uncut for even more content but with the added risk of more conflicts and a greater amount of half-baked content like unvoiced characters.
CAKEPWNER The community has made patches for any conflicts and the only unvoiced characters pertain to one quest and are optional. Don't misinform others.
I know this is old now but I'll do what I want, thanks. Your mod is filled with stuff you personally made and goes well beyond simply restoring content. What I said was accurate, and your attitude towards users is very poor.
Uncut actually broke the restoration of the Anvil Chapel. While the author has since opened comments back up, and purported to fix this issue, I think I'm gonna be avoiding Uncut in the future.
I liked a number of quests and some of the content it added but, knowing that it broke something that severely and was just left in that state for well over a year makes me leery to use it again not knowing what else it could possibly break.
Maybe I'll try it again someday but for now, no.
Uncut's author also banned Dispensation from his comment section, even though he's one of the most helpful people in the Oblivion modding community. Just for pointing out flaws in the mod. A telltale sign of a horribly made mod is when the author bans people for either providing constructive criticism or finding bugs.
However, reading through the changelog, why do things like this: · Placed the Juggler in Sheogorath’s throne room; she will appear once “The Prince of Madness” is completed. As her name implies, she stands there and juggles. Changed her to an Imperial to match the other courtiers as opposed to being a VampireRace.
Little unnecessary changes like this that go from restoration to creative licence. This is just an example of many small things. Why not just restore things without changing them unnecessarily? If she's a VampireRace, even if the only one of her race in game, leave it as such.
Just dropping by to say I greatly enjoyed this mod on my last playthrough of Oblivion. The more minimalist approach to content restoration was appreciated compared to Uncut, which IMO has suffered from a fair amount of feature creep/guesswork and is less compatible as a result of its increased scale.
Seconding this. "Nouvaeu" or whatever it's going by now, has had repeated reports of CTD'ing on many peoples saves in the Post section, which has been removed because the author is "weary" of comments. As of recent use, fast traveling to any location in the IC/Imperial Isle was a 100% reproducible CTD. With my logger reporting broken AI packages. I thought to use an older version(40b) which I used in the past and had no troubles with, but the author removed all of the archived versions and only offers the most up to date version. With very little in the way of knowing what was changed/added/removed/fixed between current update and the last. The practice was enough to turn me off from "Nouvaeu" and I suggest others to use this instead for the sake of simplicity.
KnightAarant Users were being stroppy over Unofficial Patch compatibility and so I put out a UOP patched version of my mod, but without knowing how to patch properly. In hindsight I should've done more testing, but we all make mistakes. As of 13/12/21, Oblivion Nouveau Uncut now has been overhauled and features functional UOP compatibility and months' worth of fixes I've created. I only deleted abusive or slanderous comments, which I'm entitled to. That deleted version changed nothing other than attempted UOP support. Which was made very apparent. Currently, the mod as it stands features no CTDs. Nouveau is French for new by the way. I chose the new name as part of a rebrand because my mod is not a cut content mod, rather a small-scale expansion that features unused content. Just thought I ought to clear all this misinformation up.
Uncut never caused any crashes for me. The problem is that it puts tons of completely useless npcs & guards into the game, and I already have more than enough of those with Better Cities, OOO & other overhauls. And they're typically unessential weaklings with lame or no armor, weapons, etc. who die instantly from a stray mud crab. As my patience will allow, I've edited plenty of them up to much higher levels & with random enchanted equipment from leveled lists, higher confidence & energy levels, etc., which should've been done by the author as long as he was putting all these npcs in the game for no especially good reason. I'm really tired of doing that, so I moved on from Uncut.
It does some great things with dialogue, but I think the author went way overboard with all the npcs & changes that have little to do with restoration and don't really augment the game much, but rather clog it up. I wish it had been done as a restoration only, with an optional plugin to add all the other stuff (too much of which requires patches) that it seems many people don't want. I also noticed the last time I checked that it was classified as "done" completely and the comments section removed, which was extremely odd and further sways me toward the Content Restoration mod. I had to use 8 patches for Uncut and I finally just got rid of it all to make some much-needed room in my order. I definitely don't miss those extra, unwanted npcs in the DB Sanctuary & Arena Bloodworks, and the misplacement of the Yellow Team Champion, and Victoria DeLacroix forever walking into the wall behind Hundolin.

Only by those whose CTDs are their own fault and not due to the mods -_-

Morroblivion generally doesn't touch the base game, meaning it's compatible with most other mods & overhauls.
However, reading through the changelog, why do things like this:
· Placed the Juggler in Sheogorath’s throne room; she will appear once “The Prince of
Madness” is completed. As her name implies, she stands there and juggles.

The mod is far from broken; you just don't know how to install mods properly XD
