Changelogs
Version 3.0
The mod now uses a global script and doesn't edit any quests anymore.
The traveling NPCs now only get the "essential" status while they're outside the main cities so you'll no more bump into dozens of essential NPCs in the Imperial City.
A fully-voiced NPC has been added to allow you to switch the mod on/off. His name is Milevo Carusius and he's located in the Imperial Trading Company Office on the Imperial City Waterfront. The office is open to public from 9 AM to 6 PM. Toggle the mod off via the NPC costs 500 gold, but you can still use the non-lore "startquest SafeTravelingNPCOff" console command.
Add support for Jayred Ice-Veins (SI), Marana Rian, Irene Metrick (UOP change), Roderic Pierrane (UOP change), Lerexus Callidus, Dro'Nahrahe, Varnado (Oblivion uncut), J'skar (for various mods restoring this character).
Drop support for Brother Piner, Ernest, Nardhil, Humilis Nonius, Mivryna Arano, Tilmo
Version 2.21
Ulen Athram now loses his essential status during the Weynon Priory quest.
Version 2.2
Ulen Athram should no longer be essential while the Oblivion Crisis escalates.
Version 2.1
Add a forgotten conditional check about Countess Alessia Caro and the quest Sanguine.
Version 2.0
Change the mod behavior, using quest scripts instead of plain NPCs modifications.
Drastically improve compatibility with the Unofficial Oblivion Patch.
Support new NPCs.
You can now easily turn off the mod: Type "startquest SafeTravelingNPCOff" in the console. If you want to enable the mod again, just type "startquest SafeTravelingNPCOn".
