Description
===========
At it's heart, this mod gives you and NPC's the ability to bash each other.

Details
=======
You now have the ability to bash NPC's and creatures. Be careful, because NPC's (not creatures) can now retailiate by bashing you. By
pressing the (configurable -- see below) bash key, you will swing your shield, or push with your hands, NPC's and creatures. They will react
by staggering back. If you hold down the bash key for 2 seconds or more, you will power bash them, which causes a slower stagger and opens
up combat even more. You will drain fatigue from bashing. You will do damage from bashing. You will advance your block skill from bashing.
Learn to use the bash in combat to ease those difficult fights.

Watch out when bashing friendly NPC's. They will fight you if you keep it up. Guards don't take kindly to being bashed either, and they will
fine and/or arrest you for bashing them. Stealth characters can benefit from this mod too. Bashing someone from behind knocks them down. If
you are sneaking about and haven't been detected by an NPC, bashing will knock him/her out.

NPC's now have the ability to bash you. This will add a new element to combat. Don't just hold down block, as the chance of their bash is
greater when you are blocking. When staggering, you are open for an attack so you need to be on your toes. Keep a distance between you and
the NPC; learn to bash them at the right moments -- hopefully combat will be more interesting with this mod.

There is an INI file included with this mod that allows for some configuration. It is required. You can set your bash key, set fatigue draw,
set block skill advancement from bashing, set damage from bashing and more. Be sure to check it out and set things the way you want them.

This mod features:
- Player bashing including a power bash
- NPC bashing
- A "cooldown" time between bashes for both the player and NPC's
- Configurable fatigue draw from bashing
- Configurable block skill advamcement from bashing
- Configurable damage from bashing
- Knock down NPC's
- Knockout NPC's
- Staggers can set to be in the first or third person perspective
- Optionally disable controls during bashes to really make you feel like you've been hit
- All vanilla creatures and NPC's are supported, including the Shivering Isles

Version 3.0 features many fixes, including the (I hope -- it has not happened to me or my beta testers) control lock-up issue.

Install
=======
1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. Copy contents of "00 Core" to \Oblivion\Data\
3. If you use a mod that changes staggers (Like Vanilla Combat Enhanced) and would like the vanilla staggers back, copy the contents of
"01 1st Person" to \Oblivion\Data\.
4. If you are would like support for Shivering Isles creatures, copy the contents of "02 Shivering Isles" to \Oblivion\Data\.
5. Start Oblivion Launcher or your prefered mod manager, place a checkmark beside "Push Combat Ability.esp".
6. Note that all of the files except those in "\Meshes\Characters\_1stPerson\" are unique. They will not conflict with any other mod.
However, those found in "\Meshes\Characters\_1stPerson\" will conflict with other mods. In a case where you do have similar files from
another mod, a little investigating will be needed. Feel free to post on this mod's official Nexus page for help.

Uninstall
=========
1. Start Oblivion Launcheror your prefered mod manager, "Push Combat Ability.esp".
2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.

Remove the following directories:

Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Creatures\xxx\IdleAnims\Bash\

Upgrade
=======
If upgrading from any version to 3.0.0, do the following:

1.) Completely uninstall the old version.
2.) Load your latest (or any save game) without "Push Combat Ability.esp" active.
3.) Save your game.
4.) Install version 3.0.0 of Shield Bash and Push.
5.) Load the game and play. Enjoy!

Incompatibility
===============
This mod is compatible with most mod out there. It uses mostly new resources and accomplishes it's tasks via scripts. There is a major
conflict with any mod that alters the vanilla stagger and recoil animation files (.kf). The only mod I know of that changes these .kf's
is "Vanilla Combat Enhanced". You have to make a choice in a case where you are running that mod. Either overwrite the conflicting files
with mine, or keep VCE's files. If you do decide to keep VCE's, then this mod will NOT function correctly. VCE alters all recoil and stagger
animations to be quicker, and even completely replaces some with different animations. The staggers are already varied in this mod, and
naturally I would recommend running my mods' resources over VCE's, but it's up to you. There is a minor conflict with a mod that provides the
ability to bash or push. The only two I know of are "Deadly Reflex" and Sudden Violence - Combat Moves". If the bashing key with this mod
and those mods is the same then there could be issues. It doesn't really make sense to run two pushing mods at the same time. So, in those
cases I'd recommend choosing which mod you'd rather use.

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
No issues at present for version 3.0. Please post at the mod's Nexus page or start a bug report there.

Jan/26/2016 - 3.0.0 - Added support for Shivering Isles creatures; added damage from bashing; added block skill advancement; added third person staggers back in; Several bug fixes; tweaks to existing features; performance improvements and general optimizations to scripts
Dec/18/2015 - 2.2.3 - User-defined fix for controls becoming unresponsive during battle.
Nov/19/2015 - 2.2.2 - Fixed console errors.
Nov/18/2015 - 2.2.1 - Hotfix for a careless scripting error. Bashing NPC's should be restored to normal now. Creatures were never affected.
Nov/10/2015 - 2.2.0 - Several script enhancements to reduce memory and CPU usage. Fixed typo in the INI file. Attempted to end friendly NPC bashes. Added a chance for an NPC to evade a bash.
Oct/30/2015 - 2.1.0 - Removed the subjectively annoying switch to third person when playing in the first person mode and getting staggered. All staggers are first person now. Bounty for pushing a guard is now configurable. Minor clean-up to some scripts.
Oct/12/2015 - 2.0.0 - Total rewrite of the mod with performance in mind. Added a variety of staggers and recoils for the NPC's and you. Added the ability for NPC's to bash you.
Feb/21/2015 - 1.2.0 - Minor update. User request. As an option blocking is required prior to bashing.
Aug/12/2014 - 1.1.0 - Relatively minor update to add the ability to knock down actors as well as knock them unconscious. Updated readme (of course).
July/27/2014 - 1.0.5 - Fixed script halting when unequipping an shield. This is actually a workaround, but I like it better.
July/27/2014 - 1.0 - Initial Release
