I got a problem. After I activated the mod I become immune to weapons and spells in Shivering Isle and Cyrodiil. Wepons go through me and spells always miss me. It was cool at first, but now its a problem. Some of the quests have part where an NPC casts spell at you, but with the mod NPC cant hit me whit the spell. Can someone help me fix it?
(I can go back into my saves and load the save before I installed that mod, but it is 20 hours of gameplay back! )
The glitch showed up few hours after I became Sheogorath(I had mod activated before i became Him). The glitch was, I like to call it, "The Ghost Effect".Effect that, when active, prevents damage of any sort. It can be only activated by consloe command or a mod of creator chooses to put it in. I found a way to deactivate it. Command is "player.setghost 1" or something like that. I tried to recreate this glitch again, but it just wouldn't happen.I think it is one of those glitches that only happen once.
That is strange indeed. I don't ever recall putting a code like that in, in fact I wasn't even aware such a command existed. It almost sounds like one of the three console effects that happens when you use the Staff of Sheogorath, but I don't recall ever directly modify the staff itself in any way... Well, I'll make note of it in the description just in case anyone else runs into it.
Best part is Sheogorath's Protection being a passive skill, it is very well implied that Sheogorath is borderline omnipotent within his realm(which suposelly is true for all Daedric Princes), and the Graymarch was only ever an issue because Jyggalag's existence forced Sheogorath to not exist.
(Sigh) In response to your question about what it would mean in game pLAY. Npcs, actors, events, factions would treat you as a daedra god and your mortal soul status will be wiped and replaced with a more powerfull soul, a daedra soul.
Ok, I can understand sort of what you mean about the actors, even if it would be a massive, maybe impossible undertaking for me to change the behaviors of all the living creatures in the game, but when you say replace your soul, what does that mean other than just saying it. You can't be soul trapped or do anything WITH your soul, so I don't really know what you're talking about. Do you just mean make the character immortal, or extend Sheogorath's Protection to work outside of the Shivering Isles?
Something interesting to add would be that daedra creatures and worshipers throughout Cyrodiil Sheogorath shrines would not attack on sight anymore, recognizing the PC as their worshiped god. Even more, they could be recruited as followers !... but that's another trick.
I'm not sure what being Sheogorath would do for stopping other Daedric creatures from other realms from attacking you. I could make the creatures in the Shivering Isle not attack though... Also, you made me think of another thing I could try to do, with the Staff of Everscamp... Then again, Sheogorath is just the kind of Daedra who would be mad enough NOT to do that...
I like the idea, its cool. i thought that the madgod title you have after completing the main quest ment that you become daedra in power or spirit, that you were transformed inherently somehow. Just as a suggestion maybe you can give that to the player as well as the improved spells and powers. I thought it was a little underpowered to only be able to summon a dark seducer/gold saint once a day. Keep it up and I will endorse
I don't know if such a command or script exists, but I always wanted to give the player Sheogorath's eyes when he got the title. It seems like the ultimate expression of our new title, even if we still have to "Grow to our station" as Jyggalag puts it. Could you elaborate a bit more on what you mean by "make you become a Daedra", because any ideas would be most appreciated.
In answer to the question about Daedra. When the player enters the Shivering Isles, you meet the gatekeepers strange mother, who tells you that you have one of those common souls (mortal). I did not know that different entities have different spirit, or soul class or levels. I would think that once you have completed the shivering isles that Sheogorath would make or turn you into a Daedra, or possessing the same status as a Daedra God. A nifty spell or two and an interesting staff doesn't seem to cut it when your supposed to be the one in charge of the entire Island. If there was a way to change that and become a true Daedra worthy of the task then this mod would be spectacular to say the least. Oh and an idea to go along with obtaining true godhood could be along these lines: Jigalags cousin who wants revenge on the new mad god after the main quest is completed comes back to the Isles to make things more interesting. That could be a follow up quest that could be activated after the player becomes madgod.
New quests are a bit... beyond my scope at the moment. As much as I'd love to make the character a "true Daedra", I'm afraid I don't know what you mean gameplay wise. What would you want me to do to the character in-game to make him a worthy Daedra?
I'll look into it, but keep in mind, there's an easy console command for changing the players name. I don't think there's one for changing the name of a class. There is one for setting the player's class, so I could look into using that to create a custom class that's basically just a rename of the player's current class, but it would no doubt be very complicated to do if it's even possible.
That is a cool idea though, if I can figure it out.

Sorry for bad english
Do you remember when this glitch first showed up, so I can see if I can reproduce it?

And the shape sliders... horrible things you can do with the shape sliders...
No, flounder-head-man! Don't make me look at your face again!
