I love that dodging is now a real option --> combat immediately improved. I will say though I would never want the movement lockdown applied to my character - ever. I was able to figure out the .ini file as a noob but perhaps that would be better as a 'toggle on' feature for those that want it. Old mod though so I know it's set in stone at this point. Endorsed nonetheless because combat like this needs the ability to dodge, which you have expertly provided. Cheers
After playing with this mod for a while I discovered an exploit that completely breaks the combat, unfortunately. Basically you can walk around an enemy and have them miss each of their attacks while timing 1-2 attacks to their back. This makes you completely invincible in 1v1 combat. I tried messing with the settings a little bit but even at very strict delay the npcs still won't be able to follow their attacks if you circle close to them. I'm gonna stop using it despite how amazing it is, in fights with more than 1 opponent it works great since you can't really do it but in 1v1 boss battles like umaril it completely breaks the immersion of the fight. I wish there was an option to only restrict the player and leave the npcs unchanged.
To anyone reading these comments who might be on the fence, I recommend trying the mod for yourself. I was very hesitant to use it because of this "broken" concern but I haven't had the problem at all. Combat feels great, even 1v1. am using Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul, Bashing Reworked, and Basic Physical Activities, so your mileage may vary.
I would recommend Combat Additions, which has its own version of Unidirectional Attack integrated, among many other great combat features which are all highly configurable.
This mod is conflicting with HUD Status Bars Enhanced, of all mods. Unidirectional Attack works fine for the couple of seconds before HSBE initiates, then it stops. I'm certain it's HSBE and not another mod.
What could it possibly be? The mods don't do anything similar. https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45740
The mod is great, but when you fight with many actors at the same time they disappear right at the moment of death. You should write this in the description, i thought first it was another mod doing it so it took a long time to find out.
EDIT: I checked the script and there is nothing that removes dead actors. It is this mod for sure, because i unchecked the esp and after that they dont disappear. But i guess it must be something in OBSE that makes it happen
If someone could edit this mod so that theres no camera lock when using staffs, it would be perfect. Kinda hard to aim a staff when you cant aim it. Unless theres no way in the scripting to disable it for staffs but keep it for weapons?
The script seems relatively light and simple but I still can't figure out why bows aren't affected but staves are. I thought there would be a way to make staves an exception.
i seem to be uanble to remove aim freeze for normal attacks, be it my character, NPC or a creature :/ also not sure if powerattacks can be adjusted - i wanted this mod only to "freeze" power attacks.
I would still use it anyways and just disable it for the player. Theres an ini option for that. So that way all it does is fix enemies auto-locking on to you constantly, without affecting the player. Increase difficulty and viola, big improvement

But in the rest, absolutely amazing mod. Sad this OP feature in 1vs1 battles is also important for me so I dropped it too =/
