Just a noob question, How do I install it properly? Do I activate both HD and HD BLUE esps together? Or only one of them? At least consider editing it on the description so noobs like me won't have confusion?
It's been awhile since I have used the mod but I believe the HD BLUE.esp makes the water more blue whereas the HD.esp is a normal seawater(green) color.
This looks really nice. Thank you for working on it. I've added a video to showcase this mod. It's simple and only shows one pond, but I hope it'll be helpful to some.
Note: The vanilla part was recorded when it was still relatively sunny, and the Skyrimized parts were recorded after it rained, so that's why all of the background colors looked washed-out in those parts. So if you find that you think vanilla looks better, that may be your true judgement, but it may be the overall warmer color palate of the vanilla clip that's appealing to you.
I like the way this looks but the reflections are still quite ugly from vanilla. Would you be able to make them less jagged and more high quality looking?
I've tried this mod and my water just become literally like sh*t (((( ugly and brown-green, definetely not as on screenshots here. sad. I have no idea why it isn't working.
Interesting report.....I thought this mod would of conflicted with Oblivion Reloaded (OR).... and would of required OR's water shaders to be disabled to work...
I thought so too but OR water is active in my ini and the water looks great. Doesn't work well with any others I've tried and it obviously won't be compatible with full OR. I'd recommend giving it a shot though because it's only a plugin so it's dead easy and safe to test.
[EDIT] Turns out I goofed something up with ORL just before installing this and the vanilla effect was the one I saw. Apologies. I do think it looks better than ORL water though and would recommend disabling the shader and using this.

Please merge the SI plugin with the OB plugin.

Not a miracle due to the original shader limitations, but much better in most conditions ;)
or is there incompatibility with weather mods, such as weather all natural? can someone corroborate?
edit: also, any suggestions for water ini settings? for example, how do i make water waves load from "further" away?
[EDIT] No it doesn't lol
