I really like this mod. It's simple but effective. From the moment I downloaded it I knew it was going to be good, I just had that feeling. You know that feeling, the one you get when you are downloading a good mod? Anyway, I finished downloading the mod and the moment I copied it into the Oblivion directory, the good feelings intensified. It was at this moment I knew this was not only going to be a good mod, but a mod that will go down in history. So anyway, I went and doubled clicked on the mod in the oblivion launcher, then loaded the game. I loaded my save file and proceeded to go into a dungeon so I could try out the mod. I opened the inventory, clicked on the map tab and moved my mouse pointer over Bravil. I clicked. And it worked. At this very moment, my entire body shook with ecstasy. A concept, so simple, yet so amazing, had been executed so perfectly by the modder. I couldn't believe it. The moment the loading screen appeared after clicking 'yes' to fast travel from the dungeon to Bravil, I felt emotion that I had never felt before. I whimpered quietly to myself, "amazing."
Went on hiatus from playing Oblivion for about a year, came back and realized my recent save was in the middle of a dungeon. I must've completed it since there was no quest attached to it and all I had to do was leave. Problem was, I forgot where the exit is. Spent like 15 minutes or so running around in the awful mess that is "Oblivion dungeon level design" and it pains me to admit that I got lost. I literally just needed to get out.
Didn't want to use coc or some console command to exit because that's usually bad practice, so I resorted to finding a mod to get me out. I must've tried several fast travel mods, most of them new or updated, but are you freaking kidding me that either a) none of them worked, or b) they required a bunch of other mods just for the functionality (i.e., add more bloat), or c) had some really strange instructions.
I decided I may as well look to older mods, and I randomly picked this one from 31 May 2011 (pretty much a 10 year old mod) and wutdayaknow... it worked instantly. And on Vortex, too! No mess, no fuss; does exactly as advertised. Meaning: Fast travel works from inside a cell (in my case, a dungeon). Haven't tested it if it works mid-combat, but that's not my concern.
Moral of the story: Sometimes simple is simply better.
