the scythe DID start as a gardening tool, ill tell you that, however later became a weapon and a symbol in paintings for which was the grim reaper, or death as some call it, but the scythe itself DID become a weapon
yeah the scythe was basically a gardening tool and a weapon for self defense because usually when groups of enemy soldiers came to pillage farmers did not have anything to use to protect themselves but the scythe allowed them to keep them at a distance and with a decent number of farmers they could force the invaders to retreat and in the process even kill some of them
@agetec69 Nice mixup. But FALSE. Scythes were not used in China, dumbass. Chinese cultures don't require reaping to begin with. a reaping tool would just destroy the rice crops so you are an imbecile trying to act knowledgeable. Chinese farmers used the flail and rake as weapons, the former became the sanjiegun or sansetsukon, three segmented staff. Nunchuk too originated from the farming flail. Scythes are typically an indo european tool.
@Ludsama Honestly considering your language and the other post here you've made you're the one who seems like the imbecile trying to sound smart- and that's assuming that your info is accurate, niche trivia does not a genius make. I will admit, there are problems with this mod, but nobody freaking cares that the handle's short or that one person didn't know their chinese history which is barely even taught in american schools( not to defend that broken system). We are here to have fun. You're obstructing that.
so is the price and weight but I mentioned the former in another post and the latter was someone else and apparently is an issue vanilla oblivion has as well, though perhaps not to this degree. then again I consider weight limits in these games an obstruction to fun just by dint of their existence.
EDIT: That said, looking at timestamps now, it's ah... it's been four years. Maybe you've learned your lesson by now, and I'm just a broken record.
I'm wondering: did you ever see what a REAL scythe looks like??? Hint: it is not as short as this! You can hold a real battle scythe up with the blade over your head and the shaft still touching the ground, if you're less than 7 feet tall that is. I don't see why you made these so stupidly short? Would you do it for a lance? A scythe this short is unnatural. There were good concept of designs sadly. I'll download once you come back after you learn how to scale weapons.
OK the only scythe i see here that isnt seriously RP breaking is the iron scythe and the bloody one, all the others feel like something out of a anime or something. And thats ignoring the fact that they weigh more than my mother and a bound longsword.
@willowmoth a giant exclamation point means that your missing a meshe, make sure you installed it right and have all the meshes for it in the right folder.

35 pounds for glass and 45 pounds for iron, yeah, that's just silly.
A scythe in real life would be no more than fifteen pounds or so, otherwise it'd be too heavy to use with any accuracy.
Hell even a sledge hammer is usually five pounds or so.
Nice mod, but going to deactivate due to this reason.
