I know I'm 8 years too late, but these staves look great. This and the crystal staff mod are my favorites, I'm really not a fan of the wooden staves from vanilla.
However, I'm experiencing a tiny problem with this mod. The staves seem to clip through the hands of most of my characters. While this isn't an issue by itself, it also seems to cause the staves go to translucent because both meshes exist in the same space. None of my characters seem to have a problem with the crystal staves (from 2008), so I think it might be the new mesh for this.
I'm using Robert's Female body-mesh if it matters.
Whoa! So sorry for missing this! I haven't been on the Oblivion scene in a while because my laptop took a major dive on me regarding games (especially Oblivion). I've gotten a new desktop since then, but I've mostly been using it to play Skyrim.
I know you're probably not playing the mod anymore, but just as a head's up for others:
Regarding the projectiles, the staves should use enchanted projectiles once you've enchanted them - as far as I know, enchanting them is what will give them their oomph. I'm not sure about this, as my previous staff mod had enchanted ones added as well and there didn't seem to be any issues then. You might want to see if you have another mod that has effected how enchantments work?
I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but I'm not longer actively modding (no time! curse you, full-time job), so I won't be doing anymore development on any of my mods here for the foreseeable future.
The staves themselves are really good. I always hated those pieces of wood strapped together as staves in the HEARTLAND itself. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but the staves don't make any sort of projectiles. If this is a bug please reply and tell me (I'm not a retard, I know that unenchanted staves can't just use the correct projectiles for the enchantments they are given).
