Does this mod have silent dialogue (non-voiced added npc's)?

alright, I've just completed the quest. a very well done mod indeed, not perfect though. a couple remarks:

*some items are gamebreakingly expensive. won't get you ultra-rich but still...
*the texture on new boots is a bit off
*the book you get at the end is an exact copy of a vanilla book (and the preface doesn't make any sense given the location of this item), problem is - this one weighs 5 units and Jiv won't take it away from you (as I expected him to) at the end of the quest. why do I need this? I've already stolen the original one :P
*final fight doesn't seem to function as intended? they're all already there when I enter the final room but a journal log hints that they're supposed to spawn in on top of me.
*there are minor grammar mistakes. immersion-breaking! tis but a judgement call though others seem to hate unvoiced dialogues a lot. personally, I don't see a problem with the latter, but grammar mistakes do set me off
*hardcore isn't just a word here (and this remark isn't really a negative one), the final fight may prove difficult even to high-level characters.
*cool NPC's, cool lighting system in caverns. no kidding, thanks. didn't expect to get any items at the end either.

a word of advice for fellow hunters of otherworldly deities? the boss is tough. the Deep Ones' and Brethren's only strength is swarming you. don't let them do that.
bring shock shield and absorption spells/potions, lots of healing will be required.
1)DO NOT try to lure the boss into that small tunnel from which you enter the final room. the boss'll clip right through.
2)DO NOT pick up the clubs. only 2 of them can actually be used - the one you get in the very end (you can safely pick that one up) and the one you can loot from a random Deep One, can't tell which. other clubs will not appear in your inventory but WILL weigh you down.
3)IF your vanilla Hackdirt quest is still active, you've probably decided to let Dar-Ma stay in that dirty cell for a bit while you sort out the Deep Ones business. DO NOT touch the prisoner cell that you'll find half-way through the last cave level. somehow it is linked with Dar-Ma's cell, she'll rush to you and perish to RESPAWNING Brethren or the boss themselves. lol.

btw, no need for a new character -- you can still proceed with the adventure even if Hackdirt's mystery's been solved for your Hero already. in that case though no journal logs for you. I guess. the quest's ID is AAHackdirt, try activating that via console commands. the door that will take you to Deep Ones' lower caverns is in that misty descending tunnel with the skeleton, you probably saw it in vanilla, it makes eery noises. it's locked with a key (presumably you can pickpocket 1 from Jiv)

edit: oh and the ayleid statue that you get at the end is a dupe, it has 0 weight and you can't turn it in to Umbacano

tl;dr the mod has its moments. and bugs. 7/10

Technically the book at the end is different. It has an extra bit of text at the beginning. Though the bit about that one Moslin guy signing in doesn't make a lot of sense as you said.

I always assumed that 'The Deep Ones' were the Sload. You know: the evil race of terrifyingly-powerful Necromantic slug-men whose existence Bethesda forgot about after Morrowind?

But then again: they've also forgotten about the Maormer: the Sea Elves.

And the 'other' races of Khajiit.

And the annual Akaviri invasion-event (what: did the Tsaesci just suddenly shrug and give up their expansionist agenda?)

And the obvious fact that Rieklings were supposed to be devolved Snow Elves, before Toddles and his boyfriend Emil decided to just make goblins out of them instead (even though there already 'are' goblins in the setting).

I just finished this a couple days ago, and I'm still dealing with invisible Deep One Clubs increasing my weight. Is there an item ID I can use to remove them from my inventory?

I'm literally going to download Oblivion again (after years of not playing it) just to play this mod. Very excited.

a bit too late, I know, but others may experience this; you have to activate the .esp BEFORE you talk to Jiv about Dar-Ma for the first time.

Well, this does indeed "complete" the initial Hackdirt quest, but...as the storyline goes, Hackdirt was attacked and burned years before, leaving it in ruin for its citizens. To "truly complete" the story, included in the quest should have been a "rebuilding" of the village with further help from the player. Maybe add a few new NCPs, etc. THAT would have been even more immersive and TRULY complete. Oh well...

I really can't picture the player being involved in Hackdirt at all, considering the nature of towns/villages in Lovecraftian lore.

It's still like a lovecraftian B-movie, but it has an end now. Thanks. Endorsed.
