Looks like Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul also adds missing female steel and blackwood cuirass, but the meshes have little differences in shape (this mod has bigger breast shape) and OOO version has asymetrical pauldrons. Overall, I think this version looks better.
This mod is absolutely awesome... but it randomly stopped working for the normal steel cuirass (and ONLY the steel cuirass. The darkforest cuirass is still working for male and female) and I have no idea why. I reinstalled/redownloaded it like five times and deleted every other armor mod just to be sure but it just refuses to replace the steel cuirass.
Rather underrated mod. I have to thank you for this and not necessarily because of what your original intentions were for this mod, but rather because it actually fixed an on-going problem I had with Vanilla Gear Redux not showing the correct female steel armor since, well, apparently it was missing all this time! (I'm using the "Unreasonable" option from VGR, dunno if the "Reasonable" one has this same problem.) So yeah, regardless of what people think the ideal female armor should look like, you've pretty much resolved an even more glaring issue - a literal missing asset, lmao!
The ideal female steel cuirass would just be a slimmer version of the default male cuirass, adjusted to better fit the female body proportions, lacking the -- ahem -- breast plates altogether in favour of a single solid structure. But none such exist on the Nexus that are nearly as well remodeled as this, breast plates or not!
While I prefer my bash & whackers o be clad in solid plate, this mod certainly delivers what it promises on and was definitely worth the download. And since there's no alternative that even comes close to realistically modeling a proper female cuirass, I'm glad to have this mod installed.
I don't want to be a prick, i just want to clarify something: The asymmetrical pauldrons are based off XV century Milanese armor, the left shoulder is bigger because it is your defensive side when you fight (assuming you are right-handed) and the right one is smaller to allow better arm movement when swinging your weapon. That's the reason for the asymmetrical shoulders.
Thanks, this was needed SO much. In fact, a lot of the heavy armors are just the same. I wish there were more cleanups like this. Maybe they're out there and I just gotta keep looking.

Overall, I think this version looks better.
While I prefer my bash & whackers o be clad in solid plate, this mod certainly delivers what it promises on and was definitely worth the download. And since there's no alternative that even comes close to realistically modeling a proper female cuirass, I'm glad to have this mod installed.
