No, the textures are exactly where they should be. The texture path in the .nif file points to textures\weapons\elven\. If the textures aren't in that directory, you'll end up with a purple sword.
Ok I dont know if anyone will see this but here goes.
I SOLVED THE SHINE ISSUE!!!! It's pretty easy, I would upload it myself but the author seems somewhat absent from the nexus. Ok, download Nifscope, it's a mesh editing tool, (it looks scary but its pretty easy to use) open up the longsword mesh. Click on Ninode it will drop down more options. then click on NiTriStrips, then NiTextureProperty. In the box below look for "apply mode" change it from APPLY_HIGHLIGHT to APPLY_MODULATE, then repeat for the other NiTriStrips, save and your done.
EDIT: After actually looking at his permission I can actually upload it so that is what I will do
Nice replacer but could you make a version with just the mesh and make it work with the default textures? the textures seem rather too reflective and shiny.
This mod isn't changing anything for me, could you provide more detailed installation instructions for the .rar archive download? Is there supposed to be an esp file attached, perhaps? EDIT: I noticed that the texture files are just the original files from the game; i.e. nothing's been changed.
I never did like the vanilla Elven longsword. The broad leaf-blade is just too out of touch with typical elven style, especially when compared to the other vanilla elven weapons. Thanks for the mod!

nobody seemed to notice as they're default textures anyway, nice mesh!
