For me, it every second changing/flicks the container name, and doesn't show empty when it's empty. I wish the mod would get a cleaned and modernized stable update. :/
Hi shademe, I want to first thank you for all of your effort. I have been tracking your work for years and know that you helped build the foundations for the visuals in the new era of modded oblivion. Thank you for everything, including the riotous readmes.
I am unfortunately experiencing what I consider to be a bizarre game ruining bug. It almost certainly has nothing to do with Vacuity, but as it is a mouse input related issue I have absolutely no idea where to go to start troubleshooting. I made a post in Alenet's forum as there are many knowledgeable people there as well. Feel free to delete this post or ask me to get rid of everything after the first paragraph and I will.
The issue I experience did not appear during testing, and only seemed to begin after more than 90 minutes of a playthrough. When mousing over objects my mouse movement stops completely. I can use the KB without issue. I can still click mouse buttons and they work, but the actual camera will not move. The strangest part is that the mouse movement works if I am simultaneously pressing a KB key. So if I strafe I can move the camera but the moment I stop pressing a KB input, my mouse movement freezes. The game does not seem to be freezing. It just seems to stop recognizing my mouse unless I am also inputting the KB. I can't believe how unpleasant this makes gameplay. I saw a post about input problems that were different from mine, but the rec was to alter bBackground Mouse=0 to bBackground Mouse=1. I tried that and while it seemed to eliminate the mouse freezing without KB input, it made the mouse extremely sloppy and allowed me to see the hardware cursor in addition to Oblivion's. After a minute of gameplay I unknowingly clicked outside the window and crashed the game. Needless to say this is not a proper fix. I tried uninstalling the Loot Menu Mod as I thought maybe that was giving the game too much to do but in another playthrough the issue appeared again after 90 minutes. Are there input settings that I can play with? I have no idea how to proceed again and I am not finding anything as I dig for similar posts and problems. I am happy to provide any information requested. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you, shademe. All the Best, bigpappflea
I'm afraid this is beyond what I can help you with (has been nearly a decade since I actually used mods, etc). Your best bet would be to post this in the Oblivion Mods/Troubleshooting subforum here on the Nexus.
shademe, thank you for the response. I had to take a shot as your knowledge is legendary. This mod functions flawlessly and I quite appreciate it. Thank you and have a Merry Christmas.
Just want to let you know, I am using this mod for the first time, and I noticed that it doesn't seem to work on the 'Fleshy Pod' containers in the Oblivion Realm.
Sadly, this doesn't work too well. The display doesn't show up half the time and when it does you have to mouse over the container several times for it to show up.A shame since this a very good idea.
Great mod, but I'm using a custom hud_info_menu.xml that ends up preventing it from being displayed. If I disable that xml or use the DarN one then the mod text shows up fine, so it's not really a big deal or anything. I have too limited an understanding of the xml language to figure out what prevents it from showing up but I'm guessing someone more knowledgeable can. Anyway, just thought I'd make a note of this.
