Description
===========
MERP is a mod striving to bring JRR Tolkien's world to Oblivion.

Location
========
To get to Middle-Earth, you can either use the console and type "cow
MiddleEarth 0,0" or you can use the MERP Travel Spells.esp that is
supplied as an option. If you enable it, you will find an altar in
Chorrol's chapel that will give you the spells needed to come and go
from Middle-Earth.

Details
=======
MERP is a mod striving to bring JRR Tolkien's world to Oblivion. Right now, we are still landscaping but we thought you might enjoy the tour. There are no NPCs or quests yet, though.
MiddleEarth.ESM: Mandatory file. Contains the worldspace and terrain.
MERP Data.ESM: Mandatory file. Contains races, items...
MERP Patch.ESP: Mandatory file. Fixes some last minute issues to the ESMs.
MERP Travel Spells.ESP: Optionnal file. Adds an altar in Chorrol to obtain some handy travel spells.
MERP Armoury.ESP: Optionnal file. Adds some weapons in Minas Tirith.

Install
=======
You need to have at least four archives (2 * MERP ESM, MERP ESP and MERP Meshes). It is
advised to also get MERP LOD at least.

1. Extract everything to a temporary location.
2. Make sure the resulting folder contains MiddleEarth.esm, MERP Data.esm, MERP Patch.esp and at least a "Meshes" and a "Textures" folder.
3. Copy all those files to (install folder)\Oblivion\Data\.
4. Start Oblivion Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside
the .esp file(s). MiddleEarth.esm, MERP Patch.esp and MERP Data.esm are required; the other
esps are optionnal. Make sure that no other mods that are containing new
worldspaces are enabled (or make sure, using the tool of your choice, that
MiddleEarth.esm loads just after Oblivion.esm.

Uninstall
=========
1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file(s).
2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.

Upgrade
=======
1. When copying the new content, overwrite any of the old data.
2. Start oblivion and play.

Incompatibility
===============
MERP is thought as a Total-Conversion (TC). That means that there might be
some incompabilities with other mod.
Primarily, it is incompatible with any other mod that adds a new worldspace.
That means that they should not be activated at the same time as the ground will disappear, this is an engine issue and cannot be prevented. However, making sure MiddleEarth.esm loads just after Oblivion.esm will solve the issue in MERP.

Licensing/Legal

You must contact us and obtain our permission before re-packaging any part of
this mod. You can do that at our forums. No assets from this mod can be reused
until release 1.0.0, except for third party work which can be at the author's
discretion.
