Description

This is my first submitted creation, so be nice, please. The name says Rune Sword, I know; but there are several more weapons in the collection. It started out with just making a custom sword, then I started having fun and before you know it I have all of these cool looking weapons. They are made from System Shock's Crystal Clear weapons found here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17606
These are only retextures; the meshes are by System Shock. I did not ask permission, as the read me said there was no need, but a HUGE thanks to you System Shock. The weapons are a clear, frosty blue, with runes on various parts of the weapons. The runes are glow mapped, so the have a nice glow as seen in the screens. They are normal mapped as well, so the light glints very nicely off the runes. There are 9 weapons in all; I am also planning out some armor and shields, so those will be coming soon. There are two versions of this mod, one that maintains game balance, and in the other the weapons are much lighter, more equivalent to historical blades, as well as speed increase, durability, and damage. These adjustments were made for fun, as well as the idea of a short sword weighing For more info on historical weight of weapons, try reading this: http://www.thearma.org/essays/weights.htm There are a couple of issues with the textures that are explained in the known issues area. Please, let me hear any ideas you may have to improve this mod, but lets keep it to constructive criticism. All I can say is what seems to be the norm around here: if you dont like it, Im sorry. Either dont download it or you can always uninstall it, but dont publicly flame me because you dont like it. Have fun, enjoy.

Location
All of the weapons are in a rune covered chest n one of the exterior rooms at Fort Ash. I may create a quest for these later, but not right now. I already have a lot of pans in the fire!

Requirements
None. No SI or KOTN required. The meshes are also included, so you dont need System Shocks Crystal weapons and armor, but try them anyways, they are very nice.

Installation Instructions
Place the Zip contents, minus the screens and read me, in your Oblivion data directory. This is usually C:\Program Files\BethesdaSoftworks\Oblivion\Data. If, you are asked to overwrite any folders, do so. Fire up OBMM, select it from the list, and then launch Oblivion.

Uninstallation Instructions
Delete the RuneSword.esp from your data directory, delete the RuneSword folder from the meshes directory, and, finally, delete the RuneSword folder from your textures directory. Also, dont forget to delete the RuneSword folder from the Data\Textures\menus\icons\Weapons directory, if you are concerned with a tidy Oblivion folder.

Incompatibility
There are none that I have found. I have a dozen or so mods running and there are no issues I have seen.

Known Issues
The longsword and claymore have a weird issue with the bump mapping not lining up with the texture, so it looks a bit odd at the right angle. I have tried to correct this but nothing seems to work. I guess its another weird mesh issue from Bethesda. The warhammer did not turn out as well as I had hoped. The end result is a compromise between aesthetics and the way the meshes use the texture. If anyone has any ideas how to get around either of these issues, please let me know.

Change Log
None so far, but check back in a few days or weeks, for updates.

Credits
System Shock: great meshes and textures!
NIFScope: none of these would be here with out it.
Bethesda: After two years or so, I still love playing this game!
All of the other modders whos creations I have downloaded and enjoyed Im returning the favor!

Licensing
You may use the meshes any way you please per System Shocks rules. As far as the textures go, you can recolor, redo, reuse, etc. But, since I worked fairly hard on creating mostly all new textures for each weapon, I would appreciate the credit for them.
