1. OBLIVIFALL INTRODUCTION

Oblivifall "Revenge of the Classic" is a project that aims to bring many features from The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall to Oblivion. For many old fans of Elder Scrolls, Daggerfall is still the best cRPG Bethesda has ever designed or even the best cRPG ever made. I will be releasing many separate mods that will add new features and options to Oblivion. To see which modules have been released, refer to section 11.

Now let's see what this mod is about, shall we?

2. LET'S TALK!

This module expands the dialogue you can have with every NPCs in the game. There are three main sub-topics that you can use to gather useful information from the NPCs.

-Tell me about...: This sub-topic allows you to ask an NPC what he knows about a particular Tamriel or Cyrodiil organization, wheter it's the Blackwood Company, the Mages Guild, the Knights of the Thorn or others. The NPC's answer differs wheter he is part of that organization or not and if he's a Savant. If you want to gather the best information, ask a Savant.

-Where is...: This allows you to ask a citizen on the streets if he knows where you can find a particular service in the city you are in. You can ask where's the tavern, the local armorer, the castle, the Mages Guild, the local Temple, etc.

-Regional Questions...: This allows you to ask a citizen if he knows in which city you can find a particular service. You can ask where you can find a smith, a bookshop, the Temple of Arkay, the Imperial Arena, etc. The answer you get is not always the same. Not everyone knows what city holds what service. To get the best answer, ask a Scout.

-Scouts: Scouts' information are not free though. They will want to be paid first if they are to reveal their knowledge to you. Scouts can also, for a price, pinpoint some interesting locations on your map like minor settlements and landmarks. You can also ask them where are located the cities in Cyrodiil; I've put this option for those who use mods that deactivate the city markers at the start of the game.

-Rumors: There are around 35 new rumors added. Most of these talk about the city life or the life as a commoner. Some might say that the merchants' prices are too high, others might be paranoid and claim that the government is ran by vampires. The rumors come mostly from Daggerfall and some are from Morrowind.

-Annoying Citizens: Be careful when asking directions or asking about organizations. If the NPC is not your friend (Disposition 60 and down), he will like you less with each question until he's annoyed and ends the conversation. Using the Tell Me About topic on a Savant and using the Regional Questions topic on a Scout will not lower their disposition though, since it's their job to give you such information.

This is it. Have a good conversation!

Enjoy!

3. REQUIREMENTS

-You need the latest version of Oblivion.
-You need Oblivion Script Extender version 0012 or above
(http://obse.silverlock.org/)
-It is highly recommended to have Elys Universal Silent Voice v0.93 or above for the silent voices. (Download Page)

4. INSTALLING/UNINSTALLING THE PLUG-IN

Simply extract the Data folder to your Oblivion/Data folder.
To uninstall, remove the " Oblivifall - Let's Talk.esp" file.

5. PLAYING THE PLUG-IN

In the Oblivion Launcher, activate "Oblivifall - Let's Talk!.esp" by double-clicking on it.

Engage in conversation with an NPC.

6. SAVE GAMES

You do not need to start a new game to see the changes.

7. CONFLICTS/KNOWN ERRORS

- Will not conflict with Lore Dialogue by Cleitanious and me. Lore Dialogue adds 430 topics to talk about with the NPCs. Let's Talk! has been designed to work with it and, as such, any topics that Lore Dialogue adds is not added by my mod. It is highly recommended to use Lore Dialogue for a much improved dialogue experience.
(Download Page)

- To bring even more diversity to the NPCs' dialogue, I recommend to use Kragenirs Death Quest by Povuholo and Malchik. KDQ adds not only new exciting quests, but also expands the dialogue of the NPCs in settlements and in the wilderness.

8. LEGAL STUFF/DISCLAIMER

Distribute this mod as you wish. Just give the credits to me for releasing the plugin.

9. CHANGELOG

V1.1:

Bug Fixes

- Conflict with Lore Dialogue 300 has been corrected. You won't see topics from LD 300 duplicated in the topics list.

- "Where's the Arcane University?" in the "Where is..." topic is now available only to Imperial City residents. Previously, you could ask anyone in Cyrodiil.

V1.0: Initial Release
