Is there any possibility to adapt this mod for Nehrim: At Fate's Edge? At least to make it work with Nehrim.esm (currently it requires Oblivion.esm).

There is some kind of weird installation error going on for me.

I'm using Wrye Bash, the most up-to-date version of it. When I try to install a pop-up shows up that says "Could not read the wizard file. Please ensure it is encoded in UTF-8 format."

I even tried to change encoding of the .txt and remake the installer but it didn't work out. Any idea what's going on?

      Via Aldanger's post further down:

Checked a few pages and didn't see any mention of this, so sorry if it's been mentioned before, but if you're using Wrye Bash to follow one of
the many graphical overhaul guides, you have to edit the Wizard.txt file
and convert the file to UTF-8 encoding to make the installer
compatible. I used Notepad++ for this. Then just save it and replace the
      file in the archive!

I couldn't get it work and I really want a mod like this. I hate not being able to make notes on the map...why they never put that in as part of the game is beyond me.  I'm using Wrye Bash

This mod no longer works for me and I don't know why. I cannot place custom markers myself. The option doesn't even pop up.

Make sure you click on "Convert to UTF-8" then save and not just change the encoding

I've been trying to set the [quest] tag to use the Entered state so that it displays the superscript 'E' when I use that tag so I know at a glance to come back to those places later, but it appears to only work for some of the map markers. I can set it for dungeons, but not for things like cabins or farms (been trying to set it on Odiil Farm). The tag will display, but not the superscript 'E'. It also appears that I can't set Odiil Farm to a specific state manually, as it doesn't have 'More Options' in its dropdown.

Glademist Cave, OTOH, can be set to have the 'E' manually through 'More Options', but I'm not yet sure if the 'E' is actually working for the general quest tag. Undiscovered locations also won't take the 'E' when using the tag (Odiil Farm is discovered, though). I plan to do a bit more testing to see if it's related to marker type, but I'm baffled as to how to fix it even if I determine what markers it's working for.

Anyone know if this is fixable, or intended behavior? Is it just not set up to use the superscript thing for certain non-vanilla map marker types?

EDIT: Okay. I've determined that in the map_icons_all.dds file, there aren't icons with the 'E' or 'C' for certain types of map markers. Some map markers (like farms) can't be set to use the superscript letters, nor can undiscovered locations or most non-dungeon markers. It would take an edit to the .dds file and to the scripts for the mod to enable superscript for additional marker types. Mystery solved, anyway, although with a disappointing outcome.

Markers that can use the superscript letters when discovered: both 'E' and 'C' can be set on Caves, Ayleid Ruins, Forts, Mines, and Sewers; 'C' can be set on Camps and Obelisks of Order.

For those of you annoyed by the icons not showing on the map until you've basically discovered them, check data\ini\map marker overhaul.ini and scroll down till you see "setting to control view distance for map markers", you can change it to vanilla from there like I did, hopefully this helped someone.

Thank you! I'm new to this and was really hoping someone had mentioned how to fix this, which you did. Much obliged amigo.

Hi, the marking locations as completed and "strong enemy" is working as intended with a ctrl click. However, using insert doesnt prompt me with the new markers menu with all the different flags. I have all the latest stuff installed properly, obse, menuque, and the like.

    Anybody know whats going on?

This is exactly what I wanted, very impressed. Thank you. A bit harder to install than other mods have been for a noob like me, but the re-name feature worked right away after install. I haven't even started with the different map styles yet. Highly recommend this one
