The shamshir is from Persia, and has a more acute curvature than this. This looks like a German Grossesmesser with a falchion hilt (symmetrical pommel, no nagle).
Just downloaded and tried this out. My install of Oblivion is in a non-standard location and it looks like the texture path issue has been fixed. Looks nice in game. Will endorse when I can.
I would love to use this mod, but I can't because the sword is pink. Oblivion and Fallout are not installed in their default directory (win 7 64 bit). I have no clue as to how to work with Nifskope. a fix for what would otherwise be a great addition to my game would be appreciated. If one exists, I would be grateful if someone would direct me to a fix for this.
I love the mod, but what race did you use in the pictures? I've been looking all over for another race with fur except the khajiit, but i found nothing, help me out?
Hi, looks like you have set the texture paths on the sword like this: "c:program filesbethesda softworksobliviondatatexturesweaponsexoticexotic.dds" which will be a problem for users who have installed Oblivion into another folder than c:program files (that'd be most Vista-users I imagine ">). Of course that can be fixed with Nifskope but all might not use the tool so perhaps you should fix this.
Other than that the scimitar looks very good, I'll rate once I've seen and used it ingame.
