    @angkor:
You shouldn't hate OO for that. It's not OO's fault. When major screw-ups happen to your game, reinstall. And BBC is *ridiculously* laggy. It's just full of stuff.
And when I say 'reinstall' I mean destroy everything and build from the ground up. That's the only thing I know of that will definitely make the game work.

    I hate this mod
I had started a new game without Operation Optimization and all was fine - having fps of about 20 in worldspace - until I went to the market district in BBC where my framerate dropped to about 7.
I installed OO but this did not improve FPS here. I left the city through Marketplace Main gate and when I got near the gate to the imp prison I got a CTD. From whatever direction I approached this gate it always resulted in CTD. Since this only happened after installing OO I deactivated the omod.
    Now things really became interesting.
I can only load a safegame inside an interior, all my safegames in the worldspace crash during load - loader gets to 95 % before returning me - without any warnings - to desktop.
Switching from an interior to exterior gives the same crash.
Reinstalling most mods did not make any difference ...
Starting a new game results in the transition crash at the end of the sewer.
So, not my savegames but the game itself is completly screwed.
And ALL I have done is installed OO, found a CTD with it and deactivated it.

That's how I've come to hate this mod.

Streamline improves FPS by altering graphic details on the fly as your FPS changes and also automatically purges the cell buffer. This mod improves FPS by optimizing the meshes. In other words they do not conflict with each other, and you can use both at the same time.

Two questions: Which is better? Streamline or this? Can I run this at the same time as the other?

@marimaaus, Often there will be a notification that there will be a conflict with an active mod when activating a modification that deals with re-rendering a file that is already active. Since this one deals with the modification of the larger mesh files that are located in the Oblivion.esm master file (which is the original Oblivion file that contains all the data to run the game) I would most likely bet that the conflict would just warn you about the modification of those files. This shouldn't be a problem, I have a number of mods running in OMOD and some in BAIN as well and had no conflicts yet that I have noticed (just activated the mod about an hour ago), I however used the file that you extract into the Oblivion directory. Being as these two files are the same (OMOD version of Operation Optimization and Exe. Version) it should be a safe bet that the mod will run quite swell. Also, for those who also wonder if the mod is compatible with the other mods that have large texture packs, yes, it should be compatible with the mods that you have active. This mod just retextures and modifies some of the larger files that are in the original esm. files for Oblivion. There should be no conflicts with the modifications such as Oscuros, Cobl, Fracesco's, Quarl's high res pack or any of the larger mods that are texture replacer's. There may be a notice of no FPS increase in the mods that you already have active (for example, the Astral Realm of Midas Mods, which if you don't have I recommend that mod as well), this is due to the fact that this mod was made to address the FPS issues that can be found in the main files for Oblivion. They won't modify any of the active mods, thus not conflicting with them, but it will also not increase the FPS in them either. This is because the mods came out after Operation Optimization was released (in some cases) and that those files are frequently updated and are texture replacer's themselves. This would either override or replace those that are found in the Operation Optimization. Overall, this is a good mod whom I gave my kudus, and should be compatible with all mods that are out there. As far as I no, there still aren't any conflicts with other ones. I hope this helps you guys out, hope that the Operation Optimization shows you an increase in performance and I wish you all fun playing one of the greatest RPG's that has been created! ~Havok125

When I'm about to install I get a warning message that it "conflicts with an already active mod".

    Which one may that be?

    And should I install anyway??

    C2D 3.0
    4096 Ram
    GTX 285 Vidcard
    10k rpm HD

Lots of mods including QTP3 so this is for those that have been asking that kind of question.

Tested prior to install of this mod 32-33fps, same spot after install 32-33 fps. No difference on my rig.
