Guys, I think I figured it out. Fell free to correct me.

To add other shields to this mod: (Youll need Nifscope and TES Contrcution Set)

    1) First things first: Grab any .bck file that this mod or the other Shield on Back mod has to use as a form. (Make a copy of it and put it in some folder)
    2) Change the .bck file to .nif so you can open it with NifScope (just rename the file). Click on "NiTriStrips" and delete the branch (Righ Click->Block->Remove Branch)(leave the window open)
    3) Open the mesh of the Shield that you want to add to the mod (its a .nif file) on a new NifScope window (just run the program again)(MAKE A COPY of the file to some folder and open this copy with NifScope)
    4) Once opened in the Nifscope, click on "NiTriStrips" and copy the branch. (Righ Click->Block->Copy Branch) (You can close this window now)
    5) Go to the first window that you opened with NifScope (the one with the .bck  that you renamed to .nif) (the file that you use as a form) and paste the branch that you copied. (Right Click on 0NiNode -> Block -> Paste Branch)
    6) Do the changes the author mentioned on earlier posts (Rotation et cetera) (the changes are made on "NiTriStrips")

    Translation: -10 (X)  -10 (Y)  -3 (Z)
    Rotation:-90 (Y)10 (P)    -6 (R)
The shield mesh that NifScope will be showing must be "on the ground") (if it is, then the alterations are correct)

    7) Save the file (it's a .nif). Now that you save it, right click on it, choose "rename" and add a .bck instead of the .nif
    8) Now you have a .bck file. Put it in the same folder where the original mesh is (the original .nif file from which you made a copy of)

Both .bck file that you modded and the original .nif file must be in the same folder and have the same name
    E.G: SteelShield1.nif  and SteelShield1.bck  (both files are, let's say, in " Meshes->Armor->Shields")

    9) Open ConstructionSet, find the Shield that you want, click on it and  add the script "svaTycho... "
    10) Save the file and you are ready to go

Again, this is what i did. Feel free to correct me.

If it's possible to mod the shield on the back could it be possible to mod multiple weapons to be visible like a sword on the hip and a bow on the back?

Hey, I tried adding the off-hand immersive weapons to work with this mod but it just won't work for some reason. Can anyone help? And if you have done it, can you share the files with me? Thank you in advance

I hope I can Simplify this for anyone using WryeBash. Simply download http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/15317/? and drop the file in Wryebash. UNCHECK the 'Shield on back 3.1.esp'
Now Drop the Folder from This Mod into Wryebash and install as usual. Of course, run boss and generate a new bash. But its literally that simple! hope this helped!

I absolutely love this mod. Simple to use, works AMAZINGLY with enhanced camera, it always annoyed me that you could look down and see your toes. however, you couldn't see the shield on your left arm.

HOWEVER, I do have an issue. if anyone could help. Whenever my shield and weapon are sheathed, and I crouch. It makes the equipping sound like I'm equipping or unequipping something. The shield stays on my back and inventory and everything. Idk what's causing this issue to occur. Anyone out there that could help a brother out???

That's pretty much the only issue I encountered using this mod also, though it really doesn't bother me much because it's not game breaking, and it pretty much grew on me and I just started to consider it a feature. If it really bothers you then the only advice or solution I know of is to replace the wav files inside the sound folder that comes with this mod with a silent one.

Yeah... It drives me absolutely insane, bc I'm playing a stealth RP playthrough, or trying. and its immersion breaking. Unfortunately, I'm not that savvy when it comes to modding, so I wouldn't know the first thing about replacing this one individual sound, but not affecting the vanilla sounds like I'd love to do. Do you have any suggestions?

I think it would be awesome if you made this work for the morroblivion shields too!

This mod is great, ignore the people who are trying to say this mod is buggy, it works fine for me with my extensive playtesting with this mod, you just need to make sure you installed this properly and check for conflicts, this only works for vanilla shields. First download tychos shield on back revived (https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/15317/) install it make sure the meshes folder is properly installed, delete the esp that came with the mod, you won't need that. Then install this mod, activate ShieldonBack.esm and make sure you are using OBSE as your game launcher. I hope this helps :) (Im using Mod Organizer btw)
