Edit: I found the CS Wiki is also mirrored at UESP here: UESP CS Wiki Mirror This has some of the missing pictures but doesn't look as complete as this backup.
Thanks a lot to LHammonds for this valuable backup. Thanks also to Radparty for the warning that it is about 99% junk so you do have to be very selective when you extract with 7Zip. You only want to extract the folder "cs.elderscrolls.com" and the single file "index.html". Extract them into your own folder so you have just index.html and the folder cs.elderscrolls.com in it.
I disagree, however, that "most of the material is useless because it takes you to a log in screen." It's all there and the paths are relative so you have the whole thing offline. I did some spot checking and in every case the pictures that are currently missing online today are not missing in the backup. There are some differences because it's so old and the search bar still takes you to the current website but that's nothing compared to the value. See the pictures I added.
I could upload my condensed version (84 mb zipped) if anybody wants it.
This zip contains about 1.4 gigs of useless folders with nothing but photobucket junk that are irrelevant to the CS wiki. If you extract the zip in it's entirety, you will be left with about 1,000 folders that are deeply nested and wont delete into the recycle bin because the folder paths are too long. You will have to rename the folders one by one to reduce the characters down so that it will delete into the recycle bin.
Just use precaution when extracting. Open the zip to see what is inside and look for the cs.wiki folder and extract that one folder. Although most of the material is useless because it takes you to a log in screen.
If you DID extract the whole thing and want to delete the folder, there is a simpler way if using 7z.
Open 7z and select the folder that you want to delete. Hold down the SHIFT key and either press delete or use the delete option in the 7z toolbar. (Keep SHIFT held). Hit 'OK' while still keeping the SHIFT key held, and it will delete the entire folder.
I don't use Internet Explorer. Does it work in Firefox for you? If you prefer not installing software on your PC, you can download a portable app version which you can install / extract to a USB stick and run it directly from the USB stick on any computer without the need to install (also works well by copying to your computer and setting up a shortcut to the program!)
I have downloaded and started the index but on every page I choose there are 4 menu boxes in the left hand corner obscuring some of the text. These are labelled something like 'Navigation', 'Toolbox', 'Search' and 'Login' and are in the same style as the wiki. Try as I might I can't close/delete them.
I am using Internet Explorer 6 and my Oblivion PC is not on the internet.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this by now.

I didn't know about Firefox Portable; I've downloaded it and I'll give it a go and report back.
Cheers.
