Yeah, I understand, it's just that I forgot to mention this is better on a 1680x1050 monitor that when is shrunken down to a 1280 resolution makes things look wider (or shorter). I forgot to say that my monitor was a certain resolution and not everyone should have awkwardly proportioned things unless their monitor to game resolution are different.
He means that 1280x960 is not the same shape (not size) of your monitor. To fix the problem that the mod fixes, just set the resolution to 1280x800. This would make everything look regular and proportioned.

Frostblade10 is right. 1280x800 should work nicely on your monitor. If you see your screen still looks stretched, try another resolution.
Besides, even if you change the height of the races, everything else will still look stretched anyway.
