Okay, good news. New PC (been a while), new copy of oblivion GOTY. Installed the base game and OBMM. Installed UOP manually, BAB complete via OBMM, installed this file manually including the bab stuff from the extras folder. Set the load order with OBMM:

    Oblivion.esm
    Bab.esm
CM Partners.esm (the one included in this mod)
    UOP.esp
    DLC SI.esp
    UOP SI.esp
    DLC Knights.esp
    UOP Knights.esp
CM Partners.esp (the one included in this mod)
    BAB.esp
    BAB_Kotn_Armors.esp
    Terimer.esp

Started a new game, made a Terimer character, got through the tutorial nonsense, Terise was standing right by the bag in the Elven Gardens and all is well.

Now the 'twins' are off to cause some havoc. I will probably install the usual pretty environmental mods as well...

So hopefully those of you having trouble can use my notes here to figure out or narrow down your issue.

I may build an NMM version of this mod, once I figure that out (I don't use it myself).

I know this is a mod from the  past ,but it's nevertheless a good partner mod.
I'm having a problem with Terise having white hands and feet and a pale head. Apart from  deleting the mod and starting from scratch anyone any ideas?

    Thanks in advance .

I love this mod, the race is great and has replaced mystic elf as my default race, and the companion is great. I definitely recommend this mod.

I just noticed that someone has repackaged this mod a bit more usably if all you want is the race, and has also added a new hair to it. That version is available here: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45054
However, it's also a retexture with brighter hair, pubes, even paler skin (somehow), and way less body freckling (the face freckles are untouched). One could exchange texture files between the versions easily. And if you use Wrye Bash, you can make all hairs available for all races anyway.

I've also made an adjusted set of HGEC skin texture files for my own game that make the freckles more apparent (increased the saturation of the skin tones, so there's more contrast and the race isn't quite so washed-out looking), and will share that if anyone asks for it. It's both with and without the pubes (and they're better than in the re-mod mentioned here, in which this body hair looked splotchy and fake).

Will she run with the CM Extra partners mod? I have CM partners installed, with the extra companions in the Imperial City and around Cyrodiil. I'd like to play this mod, but I need to know whether she'll run with CM Partners installed with Extra Companions.

Yes, the entire point of CM Partners is you can add as many as you want. I have hundreds of them walking around the game world. This is easier and more practical than various "fill the game world with new NPCs to make it more lively" mods most of them have compatibility problems, and most of the NPCs they add are useless (or they're cheats, like master trainers who also sell all spells and fix armor and are merchants with 10000 gold and god items, and ....)

To address various questions and "not working" claims below:

    1) This mod works just fine. If it's not working for you, you just don't know how to install mods properly yet (though the author did not make it easy). This is not a mod you can just click and install with NMM, OBMM, or BAIN. You have to manually do some stuff. The misleadingly named Extras folder contains REQUIRED resources for particular body models like HGEC. Pick the one that matches the model you're using. You must use one; this apparently does not work with vanilla meshes and textures. If you are not sure which to pick, I would suggest HGEC, as it has the broadest modder support. Again, install the body model first, along with CM Partners. Make sure they work in your game.

1A) Next, throw away the Sound folder included in the Terimer archive; that's just vanilla and CM Partners junk the mod author accidentally over-included. Something like half the bytes in this archive shouldn't be there.

1B) ALL-MANUAL INSTALL: The .ESP in the chosen body-model folder goes in your Data directory. Next, take the Meshes and Textures folders found with that ESP in that body model subfolder, and drop them on the main folder for Terimer, and let Windows merge them. Now drop those merged Meshes and Textures folders for Terimer on your Data directory and let Windows merge them again. You are done.

1B) USING A MOD MANAGER: The .ESP in that body-model folder should be moved a level higher up in the archive so it is next to the main Meshes and Textures folders for Terimer. Next, take the Meshes and Textures folders found with that ESP in the body model subfolder, and drop them on the main folder for Terimer, and let Windows merge them. Throw out the left-over body model stuff you are not using, so you have nothing left but the .ESP, the ReadMe, the merged Meshes folder, and the merged Terimer folder. Now create a new 7z (or RAR or whatever) archive of this folder and put it where ever your mod manager expects to find mod archives to install. If your mod manager requires some special format, though, you're on your own.

    2) The instructions saying you need the E-Cup version of HGEC and must use the version of CM Partners included in the archive are simply both incorrect. You can use whatever HGEC variant you prefer (she looks much more consistent with being a petite elf if she's A to C cup than with giant E-cup boobs), and you should use the latest version of CM Partners here:
    https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/7819
If you installed Terimer via the author's flawed install instructions, you should re-install the current version of CM Partners, because this mod will have overwritten some CM Partners audio which may have been updated by the authors of CM. Then re-install Terimer following my instructions, and you'll be golden.

    3) Yes, she may wander around a bit. If you can't find her, just keep looking in Elven Gardens. She's hard to miss, unless you've filled that district with modded NPCs, since she doesn't look like anyone vanilla. There's also a sack on the ground on the outer walkway with her armor in it. If there is no sack, then you didn't install the mod properly. Pay attention to load order, in particular. Terimer needs to come after CM Partners. Use BOSS or a similar tool to sort your load order; if you're just winging it, many of your guesses are probably wrong.

    4) Honestly, she looks way better in the screenshots than in-game, at least if you are running a medium resolution without piles of graphics improvement mods, but she's still cute, you can see the freckles, and she's a serviceable companion, and nice break from black-wearing assassin after black-wearing assassin, and fetishwear model after fetishwear model, which seem to be the only companion types most people want to make.

    5) Definitely endorsing this. I'm disappointed that so few people have produced additional mods for this race, and it may owe to the mis-instructions suggesting you have to use one particular body mesh and one particular variant of CM Partners.

    6) This mod (without the sound files it should not have copied from CM) is a very good candidate for conversion to OMOD (OBMM) and BAIN (Wyre Bash) installer formats, so people who aren't mod-tweaking nerds can install it more easily by simply checking off body model options. And forget NMM; it's a dead stick. Most problematic mod manager of all time, and Nexus is abandoning it for something new.

terimer.esp is different for each supported body, so you have to follow the instructions in the readme to copy the right one from the Extras folder for whichever body you are using...bab, hgec, or teamff.
