This mod is now out of date. Visit http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34402 for it's successor.

I'm sorry, but this isn't working for me at all. I've tried everything I know how, including turning off all other mods in case of interference. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong. Help please, I want this mod to work.

I've installed the mod as required, and it works. Proof of this is that every time I equip a helm it disappears. The problem though is that they disappear even when I hold 'H' when equipping them. A message flashes on screen that helm hiding is turned off, but it's hidden anyways. The (hidden) label doesn't always show up either.

Thank anyways through. This mod does what it's meant for - just does it a little too well! <img class=">

I can't get this to work at all. I've put the .esm file into Oblivion/Data and made sure it's turned on in the data files menu. But any helmet I equip still appears on my character. Does it not work for stolen items?

Really grateful. I hate that bucket helm on my crusader characters, but don't want to lose the perks. Then there is that godawful thing that Modryn Oreyn gives you. I logged onto this site looking for a mod to do exactly this.

hmm... i can't get it to function at all. i put the HideHelms.esp into the data folder, opened oblivion, made sure the hidehelms was checked. then i held h to equip a helm, and the helm showed up as normal. i've tried varying lengths of holding h, from holding it 15 secs prior to equiping, to 60 seconds after, and everything inbetween, yet i can't get it to work.

    any ideas to help?

I have given this file a rating of 1

What's the point? Oblivion is a first person game, you're never going to see your character's face, helmet showing or no. You only ever see your character in the inventory menu. This is just a useless waste of memory.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see the point of hiding helmets in a first person game where you'll never see your character anyway.

    Moderator Note:

Above irrelevant rating and comment have been deleted.

Some really do play in the third person view, and this mod is quite handy for them.

Mods are to be rated on their functionality and ability to preform as described.

Not on your ability to see why it was made.

This is the one and only warning you will get, you have a chance and I suggest you use it wisely.

Just to be clear for anyone reading these comments:

The mod still works, you just have to disable the .esp if you want to turn it off (for now). Make sure to unequip any helms before disabling it or your helm will disappear.
