This MOD contains the following:
- Glamdring Sword (LOTR)
- Gondorian Shield (LOTR)
- Shield of the Black Prince
- Richard Lionhearts Shield
- Scottish Targe (Shield)
- An unfinished Corinthian helmet (not found in-game)

Shield of the Black Prince
Background Info: Edward, Prince of Wales, known as the Black Prince for the color of his battle armor and weaponry, had a glorious military career capped by great victories during the Hundred Years War. The shield is designed after the coat of arms of his family.

Richard the Lionheart Shield
Background Info: Richard I (September 8, 1157 � April 6, 1199) was King of England from 1189 to 1199. He was often referred to as Richard the Lionheart, Coeur de Lion. He was considered a hero in his day and has often been portrayed as one in works of literature. The shield bears the seal of King Richard the Lionhearted of England, mounted over the red cross of St. George.

Gondorian Shield
Background Info: From the movie called Lord of the Rings: The Gondorian Shield the soldiers carried was long and broad and made of a number of different layers of wood, edged in metal to produce strong, heavy protection. The front of the shield bore the Tree of Gondor surrounded by seven stars and a crown. These were royal symbols of the Gondorian people and showed their noble Numenorean lineage.

Scottish Targe
Background Info: Used by the wild clansmen of Scotland in the early 18th century, this shield was still in use in 1745 when it gave the Redcoats real trouble during Bonnie Prince Charlie's Rebellion. When the Redcoats lunged with the bayonet, the Scots would catch it on the Targe, and then slash with the sword.

Glamdring Sword
Background Info: From the movie called Lord of the Rings: The Glamdring was made by ancient Elves, and is inscribed with runes in the Elven language that say the sword was forged for Turgon, the King of Gondolin. Now carried by Gandelf the Grey wizard. It's a magical sword and glows in the presence of an enemy.

Install
=======
This archive is distributed in 7-zip's .7z format which requires 7-zip (or other current archive utilities). The archive is what I call OMOD-Ready which simply means that it's a normal archive but with extra data contained in it to allow you to quickly convert it to an OMOD for use with Oblivion Mod Manager.

Manual Install
--------------
1. Extract this archive to any folder and then copy the contents to Oblivion's Data folder. You can ignore or delete the "omod conversion data" folder.
2. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, and enable the .esp file.

OBMM Install
------------
Create the OMOD (Do this section only once)
1. Copy archive to (install folder)\Oblivion\obmm\mods\
2. Start Oblivion Mod Manager.
3. Click the Create button.
4. Click the Add Archive button, find and select the archive, then click Yes.
5. Click the Create omod button, then click OK when it finishes.

Install the mod using OBMM
1. Start Oblivion Mod Manager.
2. Double-click the name of the mod in the right-hand side of the OBMM screen. (icon should turn blue)

Uninstall

Pick which method you are going to use for uninstall based on how you installed it:

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
Shield of the Black Prince and the Richard the Lionheart Shield have some lighting and mesh issues.

History
=======
1.3, 2007-08-15 - Made several changes and improved compatibility:
- Title changed from "Mod M�di�val" to "Medieval Shields"
- All text is now in English.
- Fixed meshes by smoothing and updating tangent spaces in NifSkope to make the texture surface and reflections much more natural.
- Fixed clipping issues on shields by adjusting rotation.
- Fixed meshes by disabling the glowmap feature since there were no glowmaps.
- Fixed missing alpha channel in normal maps.
- Shield and Weapon stats adjusted.
- Re-created menu icons.
- Deleted the change that was made directly to the vendor's inventory and created a new inventory chest to ensure maximum compatibility.
- All paths and files renamed to be more descriptive and to be compatible even if version 1.2 is already installed.
- ESP plugin re-built to be completely compatible with other mods as well as version 1.2 of this mod.
